Japan signed a deal for 8 Mogami (out of 22 planned). The plan is to produce a pair each year.

With this speed, we might see the launching of our first Mogami soon.

(it's even sooner IF after the 4th Mogami they decided to reallocate the next 4 to us)

Judging from the way they 'wrapped' arms export as 'joint development / production', it might be that one of the first signs if the Mogami deal with us really got through will be a number of Indonesian shipbuilder engineers to be sent to Japan.

if the rumor is true..

Iver will be 48 VLS Sylver A50 ---> AAW (and will be designated "Light Destroyer")
Fremm could be ASW or Multipurpose

and underwater procurement same as wishlist between U214 or scorpene

well, iver can be fitted with 48 vls without the need for stretching it by placing 16 vls on the front where 2nd 76mm gun are now (from one of the concept proposal for royal canadian navy).

but i think the navy wanted to put a gun (ciws?) over there, that is where the option to stretch the ship come.
