i really don't understand the reasoning behind this procurement. i mean there are far better option based on whether by commonality (coastal exocet block 3) or performance (supersonic brahmos missile/stealth nsm missile).

For commonality, coastal Defense missile system is depend on their launching system (comprised of launch units, radar tracking system and FCS) we are currently doesn't have any in this field. Second the Missiles itself doesn't warrant regular or any maintenance as long as they are be kept in the lid and proper storage. That's why Indonesian Navy or Air Force rarely bring Missiles on regular patrol duty or training session as it would reduce their lifetime significantly.

I was thinking the same thing, afaik coastal defense will fall into Navy/Marinis domain and they already have exocet. Interesting indeed

don't forget we had RN01 cruise missile project , Ukrainian motor sich could provide engine transfer of techology required inside this deal .

I never fancy dealing with Korean. Their demeanour tend to be similar to that of the Han folk. They still believe in their racial supremacy. While with the Japanese, their demeanour tend to be that of a big brother or teacher.

based on my friends testimony working in one of SK's biggest electronic company, they are pretty much like the Chinese in terms of social interaction (condescending or underestimating at best), even at times most of my friends said that some Chinese working as hard labors are much better than Korean expats in here, the only barrier is language

What do yo offer? Bastion, Bal, Exocet, or NSM ? You didnt mention RBS 15 right ?

The end user need Nato based stuff, forget getting more RosokBobrokEkspor for TNI, especially non Marine Corps user.

Neptune can be describe as sucessor of KH 35, so it will be on par with exiting exocet.

The last thing Ukraine will be offer it is one of ToT or Counter trade wich our industries need the most.

My tips is, dont get day dreaming with NSM. Even the first tier customer didnt employbit yet in great number.

i don't like to see more post to promote the late Imperial Japan 3A slogan during the last great war. My grandfather itself one of IJA vet. officer and suffer a lot caused by the war itself. Budget is the culprit and they are the least priority, Koarmada given red carpet with 16 Ocean going capable Frigates on the high list. Heck even new armor (including artillery for Army corps) and more helicopters (including Attack Helicopters) for Penerbal being postponed. Why Shore based AShM is still funded albeit small because they need more punch to protect critical Naval based.

The missile is planned to have air launched version, can our sukhoi launch it? We bought missile from them before for our sukhoi.
