PT PINDAD SIGNS MOU WITH LTAT MALAYSIA ON DEFENSE SERVICES ASIA


Kuala Lumpur – The President Director of PT Pindad, Abraham Mose and the Chief Executive of the Armed Forces Savings Institute (LTAT), Dato' Ahmad Nazim Abd Rahman signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Monday, 28 March 2022 at Defense Services Asia (DSA) 2022, MITEC - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding between PT Pindad and LTAT was witnessed by the Indonesian Minister of Defense, Prabowo Subianto and Malaysia's Senior Defense Minister, Hishammuddin Hussein.

The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding was carried out today to explore opportunities for cooperation between the two parties to develop local defense industry businesses at the country and regional level of each party. This signing is also the first step for Indonesia and Malaysia to synergize and collaborate to improve the capabilities and expertise of their respective defense industries.

In November last year, a delegation from Malaysia led by Prime Minister Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob and Senior Minister of Defense, Dato' Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein visited PT Pindad's head office, Bandung. The delegation has seen the various capabilities of PT Pindad as the largest defense company in Indonesia which is known for its high quality military products.

With the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding, it is hoped that bilateral relations between the two countries will further improve. This collaboration is also expected to make PT Pindad a strategic partner of Malaysia and improve capabilities both in terms of technology and company capabilities.

The Army Savings Institute - LTAT, which stands for Armed Forces Fund Board, was established in August 1972. LTAT is a government legal entity that provides benefits for the Malaysian Armed Forces to save for their retirement.

jakarta – The Indonesian Minister of Defense (Menhan) Prabowo Subianto received an honorary visit from the Turkish Ambassador to Indonesia H.E. Mrs. kın Asan and his delegation at the Ministry of Defense, Jakarta, Friday (1/4). During the meeting, the two countries discussed increasing the cooperation between the two countries' defense industries, with the joint production of defense equipment.

Defense Minister Prabowo expressed his gratitude for holding a bilateral meeting in the field of defense equipment cooperation in Ankara, Turkey in 2021, and hoped that defense industry cooperation could be enhanced including other cooperation, such as in the fields of electronics, IT, aviation, warships and propellants.

Minister of Defense Prabowo also appreciated the strong commitment of the Turkish Ministry of Defense to support cooperation in the defense industry, both in the framework of government-to-government and business-to-business, which is expected to increase the capability of Indonesia's defense industry, as well as the success of cooperation in the joint production of Kaplan Medium Tank and Tiger.

Indonesia and Turkey are currently in the process of finalizing the Defense Cooperation Agreement (DCA), which is entering the final stages of discussion, as a legal umbrella for broader defense cooperation. I thought circular shaped like C-705 is more stealthy due to low amount of flat surface area and missile like JSM with more flat surface area is less stealthy? Am I wrong all this time on the working of stealth design?

i hope we get some supervision from company like kongsberg.

C802, C705 and so on is derived from Exocet design, part of China western allies technology sharing during early 80's.
