Just wish the better...
I have seen too many of these "cooperation" meetings and MoUs since pre-2010, from within. Nothing has emerged from those and wasn't expected too, so yeah.
Experience kills the wishful thinking.

@Anmdt Do you have information on what kind of cooperation we will have once Defense Cooperation Agreement (DCA) between Indonesia and Turkey finalized?

For armored vehicles, i am thinking we better to license producing some brands and what more important is to have every fucking parts starting from bolds and screw until the Engine and transmission being build in Indonesia. Just doing it like Toyota Astra Motor

Same as what i thought long time ago, 🇮🇩 is best at licensing and modification.

But back again, is the company have capability (fund & tools) or the user want to use lot of the product for licensing.

Yet till today, alutsista acquisition walk like "uang kaget" and research still left drownd to the bottom

That's why it is more important to license producing them instead Goes full blown to research them from scratch and starting everything from zero. Instead just use the research money for production line development and training the worker

That's work for other stuff we are lacking including radar, fighter, Frigates and so on. Btw, if Mogami class deals can Goes through (likely contract deal would be signed in Indo defense event) and we get 8 of them. I am just thinking it would be great to replace our Parchim class with them on one by one rules

We have already shown it is the IFV of FNSS. Pindad in fact has no contribution there.
Yes, i know the Kaplan 20 and 30 but from the image only kaplan 30 has similaritis with Kaplan MT like bottom part of the hull, suspension and powerpack. Yeah even I doubt Pindad have contibution in last change made by Fnss for driver compartment.

What i mean here is, that pindad have a will to develop it own IFV based on Kaplan MT. Well not to mention the must move the enginge forward, amd reconfigure many stuff.

Meanwhile back then Pindad has shown a class of IFVs (an image leaked either their roadmap or brochure), all turned out to be the exact same IFV from FNSS, introduced in August 2021 (Pindad leaked the images earlier in March or April).

Check Kaplan NG-AFV. The exact same design as the one depicting the mock-up.

YEAH, THAT PARTICULAR DESIGN.

I told ya, pindad just make emblem on the product and claiming karya anak bangsa.

Well, i didn't bother if ID Army choose Kaplan NG-AFV as IFV or troops transport. As long as we have license or at least COMMONALITY

Japan is one of the good example as a license based technology products. Ishikawajima-Harima Heavy Industries (IHI) group has long history of licensing for jet fighter engines and other propulsion engines for their own fleet ( military and commercial sector) since early 80s.

Even for industrial/power plant gas turbine engines, large Japanese multi-corporations are also doing license from their US and Western counterpart.

Mitsubishi was licensing the gas turbines from Westinghouse, Hitachi from GE, Kawasaki from Ruston TA (UK). And nowadays, as they achieved their industrial and technological maturity, they have their own blue prints design.
