Honestly ....i never know the komodo's have a proper forging and foundry facilities ?? While their CNC are decent enough . Without a proper forging treatment ...all those metal are subpar ...

Could someone share more light to these ??

There's a comment somewhere in the Komodo Armament IG account, but it seems to have been deleted since the parent comment has been deleted (they reacted to a comment criticizing it and gave explanation about where the materials are sourced).

Btw, I'm late and this has been posted on facebook page before, but some updates on RHAN-450

Seems their moving on to stage III of IV uji dinamis, meaning we should expect live firing at the end of this year.

Actually when it comes to weapons sub component supply we don't need to research everything. many of the components could be sourced from abroad, and in war situation/sanctions we could set up an illicit supply ring getting the necessary components from the balck market or via smugglers. Russia likely source many of its electronics components like Chips from its illegal supply ring in UAE, Turkey etc and brought it back for their industrial use.

Looking at our RN-01-SS missile for example, we could source the engine from abroad with the many turbojet suppliers out there. It will save time instead of trying to reinvent the wheel. Iran's Shahed loitering drone for example uses Rotax engine from Austria, and its Model 358 loitering munitions use mini turbojets sourced from the Netherlands AMTJets.

I think there's a reason why our missile projects comes so slow, compared to other nations. From the look of it we decide to start from the ground up, instead of relying on ready components.

This is what I've been talking about for some time now. We don't need to research everything, just use open-sourced components.

Iran was able to reverse the Russian Kh-55 (AS-15 KENT) air launched cruise missile. Following this a simplified and scaled down version was built which could use a commercial turbojet engine similar to those in model aircraft. This design was supplied to the Houthis and may also now be in Iranian inventories. Essentially it gives the Houthis a very low cost long ranged land attack capability, but with a smaller warhead. And as to be expected in the Houthi arsenal, there is an anti-ship version. This approach is different from Western countries which tend to buy very few, yet expensive, cruise missiles.

The RN01SS is IMO a big failure with no clear progress, we should just try something that works first. I can't believe Yemen is playing this game while we could only dream one. Cheap cruise missile could be used by Jakarta to threaten shipping in the Malacca and Sunda strait.

At least market testing first from Shot Show. Care nothing about the politics, the can pay Leviathan Group for the marketing, maybe more modular SS Amphibious would be better than SS-1. Yes, you pay them to review your gun. That’s how they get money without AdSense, because they (guntubers) can’t get it.

About shotgun, they don’t need to compete against more established companies. Taking some of cheap Turkish shotguns market share is already good.

TKDN ANOA is still less than 50% but tolerable, because for indigenous engine and transmission it's best to import it now

Local industry simply doesn't have a proper facility and tooling for such specialized manufactured products . Lack of investment and especialization were excarbated by the lack of political will by the government ..
It's not that we couldn't make it ... We could and if we put our mind to it ... We could make the thing's better and cheaper .
Yet , that is not the present reality
