It seems that India is competing with Turkey in attracting Ukranian engineers; I really hope they chose Turkey over India (no offense to Indians) considering the really good ties Turkey had with Ukraine which is supported by the fact of TB2s kicking ass in Ukraine. Really hope Temil Kotil, SSB, and the Govt. To try and make it as attractive as possible for such engineers to come to Turkey

Ataturk also welcomed lots of Jewish refugees who were engineers and doctors.

Fatih Sultan Mehmet also done the same thing by inviting intellectuals from both West and East. He also tried to get Greek intellectuals who fled to come back.

I think Turkey will get the bulk of the engineers over India. Ukrainians are more likely to feel comfortable closer to Europe and Turkey has an advantage in that regard along with countries like Germany, Italy, UK, France, etc, which will also be trying to grab the cream of the crop there. I think Turkey might also be grabbing some Russian engineers and academics, which is probably why AKP didn't participate in sanctions and such against Russia too hard. Plus Turkey holds the status of one of Russians/Ukrainians' favorite holiday destinations so there's that too. Antalya might as well be called Little St. Petersburg at this point.

GE has been working on CMC - Ceramic Matrix-Composite materials to improve the thermal and physical characteristics of jet engines used in fighter planes. F414 engine trials have shown the success of these parts before they were used in larger engines. Adaptive cycle engines together with these composite materials in engines, have given 500degrees Fahrenheit more heat durability than current engines and 25% more fuel efficiency and 10% more thrust..
Today the CMC technology is being utilised in LEAP engines and the XA100 engine they have developed for a prospective F35 engine, successfully.

This is actually really good for us. Established gas turbine technology is changing we can jump the wagon of CMC turbine blades if we act fast similar to UAVs. And it is probably easier to produce CMC blades than single crystal alloys. We have the ability to produce Boron Carbide(B4C), Silicon Carbide(SiC), and aluminum oxide(Al2O3) for armor purposes we can start there and try improving them to reach the level suitable for use in gas turbines.

BTW Temel Kotil frequently speaks about CMC blades and paradigm change in turbine engine production. Today TAI acquired shares of TRMotor. Something is happening on that front.

It seems like real studies on the national CMC turbine blade and duplex fuel injector project started on 30 January 2021 as a Ph.D. program.

Those studies can bring us up to the prototype level.
But it won't answer the question of how we can produce thousands of CMC blades aka industrialization and production scaling. First, advanced ceramic fibers will be developed this will need some kind of special machinery to serially produce fibers. After that those fibers will be woven into 2D and 3D structures(actual blades) and will be infused with ceramic matrices. This will need an automated woving machine of some kind.

Injector production part might be easier as existing infrastructure can be used to produce those duplex injectors once a prototype is produced and its performance verified.
