If it is pro-Western, it will not nuclear, if it is pro-Western, we can trade very well as one of its closest neighbors. We wouldn't bother with Halkbank bullshit. Also, Azeri Turks would be freer.
I hope I can explain what I mean. Iran's ambitions and historical motivations are not about being pro-eastern or pro-western. Even if the monarchy period had continued, there would have been no difference in their policies which some of them threatening Turkish interests. On the contrary, some things could be more challenging as they would have much easier access to many things. From a historical perspective, Iran's in-depth relations with the West have often been a headache when the Turks were trying to challenge the West, or to put it more politically, when we were showing the other's place in our hinterland.

A structure that tries to stay as a whole with corrupt, oppressive and sectarian religious motifs would be more controllable factor rather than a structure that will receive the unlimited support of the west and pampered within a fabricated historical fictions. A small example of this is in our west, a nation of 10 million, which they are gathered peoples from our lands actually, thinks of itself as the continuation of Rome, even hellen peoples. I'm sorry but for the west everyone is better than the Turks, it's about our nation codes. The fact that we are at the more above of the ranking is the conflicts of those around us with western order.

Frankly, I do not consider it a priority for our interests that the regime enters into western direction until we complete our preparations on some issues, or without using Iran as a tool to legitimize certain things within the targets subject to this preparation. Of course, the difficulties experienced by the Iran Turks are of great concern to us. However, the party playing to Iran's instability and possible collapse is not composed of those who have good dreams for us. The use of Turks as cannon fodder in a strategy that is not directly Turkish design may lead us to other unknowns.

Barely any Turkic nationalism in Iran apart from Azerbaijani Turks.

Most care about being Shia than Turk.

If only they knew what Persians think of them. Too bad most Turks who lived in Iran for centuries became Persianised.
That will change.

People have to be deluded to think Secular Iran would be beneficial for our interests

Persians regardless if they are theocratic or secular all still abide by their Persian fascist ideals.

People should not think that only the Mullahs run on Persian racism when the Secular Iranian crowd are just as racist.

They all believe in their greater Iran bs.

We need to stop thinking anybody with an ideology is friendly to us especially in the Middle East.

What will be Turkey's response when Iran tests a nuclear bomb?

If Israel, Iran and Russia have nuclear weapons at the same time, Turkey should have nuclear weapons as per the right to self-defense. This has already been said by the President Erdoğan.

In fact a secular Iran would be worse for Turkey's National Security. It will be an Iran backed by the West that will be more involved in the southern Csucasus and Azerbaijan.

If the government starts using heavy weapons this could turn into Syria 2.0 very quickly. Particularly if weapons start flooding in foe the protesters.

I agree with @Deliorman and @dBSPL. A secular Iran would be much more of a headache. Let's not forget that our enemies think the same, secular Turkey is much more menacing than an Islamic Turkey. This is because 90% of their propaganda against us will be useless and there will no longer be the issue of brain drain and refugees

We should watch carefully as we could be witnessing the West taking Iran into its orbit. They want Turkey to become the new Iran, and those millions of refugees are part of that plan. We need to act quick.

A Turkic run Iran is much better for our interests.

Even if the Ottomans and Turkic ruled Iran clashed. For centuries that today has no bearing for us. Turkiye and Azerbaijan are basically family.

That was the past. Most Southern Azerbaijanis are pro Turkish.

Don't expect any quick or good results from a man who barks "we can come suddenly one night"

What's hilarious is TRTworld has been promoting the persian regime, showing people in mass support for it. Simply because the islamists in Turkey want Turkey to follow the iranian model so their families stay in power indefinitely.

AK party seeing the people revolting against Islamic oppression has them feeling nervous. Islamic brainwashing has been the number one tool a failure of a political party has capitalised on.

Also when you create an islamic tyranny naturally you create a fertile ground for revolt and rebellion. They make it easy for the enemies of the state to find millions of disenfranchised people who want out of their nightmare, naturally they use them if possible.

I find these things really fascinating.
On one side , we have turbo diesel mullahs. On other side , we have people fighting for women rights supported by the people who do not know what women is. Even feminists these these days do not know what women is yet they fight for that great mystical unknown.
Speaking against tyranny?
Well I am for enlightened tyranny, can someone explain to me , why political rights should be given to psychotics ?
