Talk is cheap.

Say nice things and work to undermine isreal instead of saying bad things while begging for a gas pipeline from them.

But Turkiye has too many problems, most arab states are open enemies. This issue right now isn't our problem, it cant be as long as most middle eastern nations are against us.

From a moral level i understand everyones feelings, but from a state level we cannot be foolish because the long term consequences are dangerous to everyone.

We should remain neutral and cease this opportunity to crush YPG once and for all while the world is distracted. No point in picking sides. We all know who is going to win. Is it worth ruining relations for another 5 years for domestic support and temporary respect from Arab nations?

We should call for restraint, that's about it.

Erdo really needs to stop talking. When he gave his condolences, asked for rational thought and provided Turkiye as a state to mediate peace/agreements, that was enough. That was the right call.

"Things are getting very confusing. Now the Yemeni Houthis have announced that they are heading to Gaza to support Palestine.

The Houthis are an armed group backed by Iran. Their recognition increased with the attacks on Aramco facilities.

It is known that there are significant stocks of ballistic missiles, circulating ammunition and surface-to-air missiles.

Israel's air and missile defense system infrastructure is strong but may be challenged." Google Translate

There is no state or regular army against Israel. There are also women, children and the elderly.

The Economist on Israel's options for invading Gaza.
1: Israeli political leaders are now considering the scale of the ground offensive. One option is a shallow invasion, like in 2014. Then the IDF took over the area near the border to block the tunnels. At the same time, they remained on the outskirts of large cities to avoid street fighting. Another option is a deeper invasion.

2: If the Israeli leadership orders a large-scale invasion, then one or two armored brigades with tanks will try to cut Gaza in two parts. Two or three other brigades, numbering several thousand people, will probably concentrate in the north, and another one or two in the south. Their target will most likely be Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.

Something tells me the usual geolocator accounts aren't going to be interested in verifying this footage:

Sucks to suck.

If you walk through the streets butchering civilians, you have to be out of your mind if you think the opposing military is going to treat you in a humane way, regardless of what international law says. I said the same of some videos that emerged of Ukrainians taking extra liberties on Russian invaders that had done horrendous things.

As we see in conflicts across the world, what supercedes international law in the minds of individual soldiers, is revenge. I'm not sure we're going to overcome that human condition any time soon.

I wish somebody would tell Erdogan that if you want to win a war, proportionality of attacks are always going to be deeply unbalanced.

USA dropped two atomic bombs on Japan, vaporizing between 100-200 thousand people instantly, to win a war and force Japan to surrender.

Britain firebombed Dresden, Germany, literally turning people to liquid, killing 23,000 residents in a targeted strike of civilians, to put the fear of God into Germany so that they would stop their bombing runs on London and other British cities.

You don't win a war, especially one you've declared, by matching the proportionality of the attacks. You respond in a manner that scares the hell out of your opposition, so devestating that it breaks their will to fight.

❌Israel introduces a restricted zone around the Gaza Strip.

❗️Egypt offers a six-hour truce for the delivery of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.

Israel is facing a war on 5 fronts, - Bild.

“Iran and its allies have made the Palestinian issue a pillar of their ideology and therefore cannot simply stand by.”

Make no mistake, Hamas is an enormous security threat to Israel, as demonstrated over the weekend. This charade of "there is nobody in Palestine but women, children and the elderly" is not fooling anyone. Hamas is rampant throughout Gaza and is the primary target of Israel's counter aggression in this instance.

As they should. You don't want any members of Hamas slipping out of Gaza into Israel, so you fully encircle them.

Good on Egypt to keep the humanitarian supplies up. If I were Israel I would accept the offer, under the condition that they are able to inspect all supplies going in and monitor to ensure that nobody of interest is going back out the other way.

Erdoğan talking is Türkiye talking. Palestine is a big part of world history and Türkiye held Palestine for many centuries. We can not afford to let Israel make gains into Palestine, and we have to reverse the situation to 1967 conditions. Israel must know that their temporary position holding the upper hand is reversible, and we will not sit and watch.

USA 🇺🇸 is sending a second carrier battlegroup to Mediterranean to help ensure that nobody else in the region tries to pile on Israel. Furthermore, the U.S. Airforce is deploying extra squadrons of F-15s, F-16s, F-35s and A-10's to friendly countries in strike range. Finally, the U.S. Army's 101st Airborne Regiment is on high alert in Europe.

That's a nice show of deterrent force by the U.S. to ensure the conflict remains 1 v 1.

This is not against Hamas, it is too much firepower. It will be to deter Iran...maybe even TR

God willing, we might get to see Hamas become virtually extinct in Gaza. It will take a lot of deaths, but you're right, it takes two to tango.
