The Lebanese ought to invest in some quality air defense. It would be much more difficult for Israel to bomb them from the air with impunity.

Israel's air defense isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination, but it has proven to be effective!

You are right. If Lebanon had air defence, the Colony wouldn't attack them.

They only succeed against nations without airdefence or airforce.

Iran ought to get Hezbollah some air defense. Cheaping out with their proxies. Sad, really.

Two more Hezbollah chiefs iced, Saffieddine the other day - the guy expected to replace Nasrallah, and their logistics/supply chief since.

Some pretty interesting leaked Hezbollah-aligned/affiliated conversations from Telegram doing the rounds, too. Not sure who's interviewing them, don't speak/read Arabic ( credit to dude here for rustling it up and doing the translation https://www.defencetalk.com/military/forums/t/middle-east-defence-security.13210/page-41 ), but it gives some insight into their state-of-mind amongst themselves, pretty counter to their publically-facing tone. Sounds like they know they're totally boned.

Q: Was Hezbollah right to join Hamas?
A: Yes, it was their moral duty.

Q: Did Hezbollah gamble?
A: Yes, a gamble that seemed reasonable given the deterrence (vs Israel) that existed before the war. At some point Hezbollah did not have the ability to climb down the tree, because of the humiliation of abandoning Gaza.

Q: Why did Hezbollah not escalate?
A: Nasrallah didn't want to burden the Lebanese people. When no appropriate response came to the assassinations in Beirut, it was clear Hezbollah wore down its deterrence. The important event was the killing of the children in Majdal Shams that gave Israel a good excuse to escalate.

Q: Did Hezbollah underestimate Israel?
A: Yes. They trusted the rules of the game and did not understand that Israel was about to escalate. Nasrallah always said that Israel just needs to cease fire in Gaza and that it'll all stop.

Q: What were the effects on Hezbollah? Why did Hezbollah not take precautions?
A: Hezbollah did not understand Israel was about to escalate. The Israeli strikes stunned Hezbollah, threw it off balance and did not allow it to respond. This is not what Hezbollah had planned. The intelligence penetration was too deep. Israel's strikes were a catastrophe.

Q: What is Hezbollah's status right now?
A: I don't know. Militarily it's too early to say, but we expected more from it. Na'im Qasem's "wiping off sweat" speech was not good and he did not look good. Not at all on the level of Nasrallah's speeches.

Q: Who's responsible for the destruction in Lebanon?
A: Israel. They killed, they destroyed. Make sure everyone understands that.

The Colony Army surrounding 10.000 UN troops from 50 different countries and using them as human shields, the most moral army of the world. Hopefully they lose their head and shoot at them.

10.000 bodybags from 50 different countries. What a disaster.

It would demolish the already decreased PR of 'the most moral army of the world' and push all those countries to action.

Reports of unusual seismic activity inside Iran, some assumptions it might be a nuke test. Hope so, perfect opportunity & justification to take the axe to the head of the snake, end of all of this properly.

You'd have to be more careful about waiting, *if* there's any veracity to the test. All indicators are they don't have a viable weapon as of now. Not sure I buy the "they tested something" view, but if that's confirmed, now would be your best-and-last "go time" moment before they can actually use one. Once they're North Korea it's too late.

If Iran reveals they have nukes (what i think they have, why shouldnt they), than its to late to attack them. See North Korea.

Nobody develops nukes for nothing and nobody wants to attack a nuclear power.

There's an unspecified timeframe between a first nuclear test and first viable nuclear weapon. If Israel and US wants to strike and stave off Iran's nuclear weapons program for few more years, that timeframe is when to strike. But, in that case Iran will no longer play "i can develop nukes whenever i want" and will just dig a deeper tunnel and create it as soon as possible. Hitting every Iranian nuclear site(very big task even for world's premier air force) is also not enough, as that will just create more animosity as stated. Only way forward is regime change, which will happen with a civil war or invasion, which will create millions of refugees, which will see NATO and EU being fractured as a result.

US' hand to play Israel's game or not.
