It looks like 7/10 will be Israel's 9/11. For conspiracy theorists obsessed with numerology and esotericism, we now have new material.

Turkish MFA: We note with deep concern the violence and tension in Israel and Palestine today. We attach great importance to the immediate restoration of calm in the region and strongly condemn the loss of civilian lives. We emphasize that acts of violence and related escalations will not benefit anyone and call on all sides to exercise restraint and refrain from impulsive steps.

As Türkiye, we are always ready to provide our best contribution to ensure that these developments can be brought under control without further escalation and without spreading to a wider area. In this regard, we are intensively continuing our contacts with the relevant parties. These regrettable developments demonstrate once again the importance of the vision of a two-state solution. We call on the parties to abandon the use of force and work towards a lasting solution in line with this vision without further delay.

This is the appropriate response. But after today there can be no two-state solutions. That ship has sailed. It's either Palestine or Israel.

Biden just approved $8 billion more for Israel. Apparently there is no lack of funds when they need to help their terrorist friends

Israel would never accept Palestine becoming a sovereign state anyway. Trump's negotiations with the Saudis did not promise the Palestinians an independent state. These are empty promises unless they have their own army.

Each year Israel already gets around 3.5 billions in military aid anyway. So, I don’t think it is that big of a deal.

Status quo does benefit the Israeli, I say war, even if painful is best choice. Palestinian fighters should feel embarrassed for every minute thay let down their rifle. Do not think that ceasefire = peace, even Vietnamese communist knows this, so they kept on fighting even though they know for a mere dozens of Americans killed Hanoi is bombed to dust.

Their motto should be, I don't have peace in my house so neither does you

Martial laws and silence the opposition (✓)
Declare a state of emergency and no one can object (✓)
Get the popular support, even if it's forced or under extraordinary circumstances (✓)
With the US, force them to support you more than past even in your current disputes without backing down (✓)
Have the conditions to go after Hamas with as much disproportionate force as you want (✓)

The first three points feel like a deja vu.

Yes. The discrepancy between Hamas's power and Israel's power would make impossible for Israelis to compromise. What this attack has achieved is giving the legitimacy of one-state Israel to Natenyahu. Palestine cannot get any sympathy after those videos that are posted online. He(Natenyahu) will ram through any resistance he face, be it the opposition at home or the enemy in the north.

It is kinda ironic that the Hamas attack is only 1 day after October 6th which is the day in which the Egyptian army managed to cross and break the so-called impregnable Israeli defences and liberate Sinai penninsula in 1973 as far as I remember

Hamas planned a lot for this attack, that much is clear. Though, there is a 80% possibility that they will lose in the end since the Israeli Armed forces arent that weak
