Iran hopes Israel throws away the Abraham accords with his own hands with a disproportionate (Dahiya) response. Abraham accords is just another name for a prelude to a war against Iran. The method Hamas used to start the clashes might make it hard to characterize any Israeli response as disproportionate in the west, but in Arab countries the potential images of dead children circulating among the population may elicit a popular response forcing the Arab parties to the accord to backtrack. But I must admit I've never seen people protest anything in the gulf region, except in Bahrain, so who knows. May be Morocco?

A disproportionate response is coming. We'll see what the outcome is in the region. Regardless, it's about to be a horrible period of time for the people living in Gaza, whether guilty of involvement, or not.

I don't understand your "concerns". What can israel do today that they haven't been doing in the past many conflicts in Gaza. They have preciously carpet bombed Gaza inconsiderate of civilians infrastructure. there is no critical infrastructure in Gaza for them to target, they have all already been destroyed. Gaza has nothing left. There is nothing israelcan do that it hasn't done before.

israel lost this round. the initiative is back with the Palestinians. israels image has been shattered and their confidence broken. clear defeat for israel no matter how much they bomb Gaza.

You do not seem to understand the logic here. Palestinian are in an existential crisis anyway, Israel has been taking small bites for last 20 years without almost any consequences.

It is better to perish faster And make it consequential for the enemy rather then dying slowly without any effect.

Becuase as i said, in the end you are in existential crisis anyway.

Now of course, Palestinian will die in large numbers. But guess what? Now Hamas has forced Israel to take a big bite. Which may not be very consequential military for Israel, but big wars and military operations are surly gonna have geopolitical and perhaps, economic consequences.

If Israel is forced take one big bite after another, then maybe in the future, one of them could very well get stuck in throat.

I agree with this statement in general. That said, it's a dangerous path forward. I'm neutral when it comes to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. It's far too complicated for me to fully take a side. That said, if I'm the leaders of Israel today, I'm about to unleash a BRUTAL campaign on Gaza. Militants, civilians, etc, it wouldn't matter much to me. Shatter the energy and power infrastructure in the area with air strikes and create an absolute humanitarian debacle, while advancing with the army inflicting a massacre. Get long range artillery and drones involved in ruthless strikes.

USA has approved $8 Billion usd in an emergency funding. That's a lot of ordinance and "precision" weapons to flatten anything vaguely resembling a military target.

Could get really ugly!

I'm all for people fighting for what they believe in. Massive respect to anyone willing to die for what they believe in, but that goes both ways for me. I have zero sympathy for the absolute nightmare Israel is about to inflict on Gaza. You make your choices and live (or die) with the consequences. That truth extends to decisions you make that affect your children as well.
Like i said before . Hamas leaders that greenlighting this operation knowing fully on what would happen to their populations . But , they banking on the rallying effect it will created should the respons are taken . @Gary has mentioned before ....Israelis should concerns them selves on what other moslem countries should responds in kinds when a certain line are crossed . Make no mistake ... Pacific war is imminent . The US should really concerns themselves with their own affairs first . Should the US make the wrong judgment here . The real beneficiary would be china . Is the US really willing to go that far for Israel ??? Only time will tell ...

The reality is unless some peacefull solutions could be achieved . Israelis will always face a perpetual war ... Why don't you ask the average americans as their de facto sponsor and donors should they willing to footing another bills of perpetual agony...

They could answer a rocket attack into Israel with somewhere between 3000-7000 rockets, by dropping 3000-7000 large bombs and missiles on Gaza and turning the region into an apocalypse. While that wouldn't change anything long term, the civilian casualties would be catastrophic.

I'm not really concerned about this region. They're in a permanent state of war or "war like" posture. I'm more interested in the battle tactics and technology that both sides in the conflict use against one another.

Actually it's not about logic, some people are celebrating it. They want you to know that they enjoy seeing people's suffering, but that's okay anyway this Israeli-Palestinian conflict does divide people into two camps, and no middle ground in between.

Like I said, this war will likely outlast the main backer of Israel, and again (my deleted post) has confirm that in Islam it is allowed to retaliate in kind, so even if it doesn't happen now, in the end whatever harm they may befall to the Palestinians, please know that we will do the exact same kind once the balance of power reversed.

They want to flatten Palestinian house ? please do so. We will do it as well, later on with their houses, Want to revenge? so do we. Want to harm children and the elderly? so can we. And when it's our time to do so, we will have no remorse because it's allowed by god to do so. 😂 😂

Again justified by the simple verse : And if you punish [an enemy, O believers], punish with an equivalent of that with which you were harmed. (An-Nahl:126)

I'm not sure; I predict a much more muted response than many predict, if the Israeli state apparatus has any wisdom left that is. Netanyahu can rally his base by preaching to the choir, but that would disrupt their strategic plans they've been working towards for years.

Netanyahu says Israel will ‘reach every place Hamas is hiding’

The Israeli prime minister, in a televised address, vowed Israel would defeat Hamas, but said the fighting “will take time”.
Netanyahu said Israel will “reach every place Hamas is hiding”, telling residents of Gaza to “leave those places now”.
Referring to Israeli captives being held in Gaza, he added: “I tell Hamas, you are responsible for well being of captives, Israel will settle the score with anyone who harms them.”🤣

As I said they probably know that's what Hamas and Iran want to disrupt the Abraham accords and the trilateral Saudi-U.S.-Israel deal.

Hmm.....but i think it is unlikely to stop megalomaniac like Netanyahu.

Yes, that's a possibility. It would probably also increase his votes as people everywhere around the world work based on hype and blind emotional reactions.

The only ones suffering will be the people of Gaza when IDF bomb them to hell. Thanks to dumb as shit and corrupt Hamas radicals. Next time you legitimize Palestine terrorists think about Türkiye rightfully pounding PKK.
Epic wrong. What you talking about?

Turkiye did NOT invade and Kill PKK and took the territory to Create Turkiye Republic!

isreal did exactly opposite. israel invade Palestine and killed palestin civilians and continue to do to present days.

The response so far has been much more muted than I expected as well. I've seen maybe four buildings destroyed. Not anything different from what Israel normally does.
The IAF has the capabilities to absolutely level Hamas with WW2 style bombings if it really wanted too.
