First of all, you need to know the effect of your nuclear warhead, the altitude the bomb explode and the area. Not all of them have same capabilities. Israel has an area of ~ 23.000 km². The question is how much of Israel territory you want to destroy directly and how much of area will be effected (radiation) by the strike.

Personally i don't see the iranians doing anything of note. To me militarily they look like complete and total ass. Inaccurate ballistic missiles and not much else.

The only way out this "cornered rat" position would of been to ally with Turkiye instead of to oppose her. The strategy would be that we develop strong ASW and air defence capabilities. We first begin a conventional war and try to eliminate some of the subs. At the same time we saturate them with more powerful and precise versions of Tayfun missiles, paralyzing their military and command structure. If they do the first nuclear strike we should then catch as many missiles as possible even before they reach our territory. We may still have residual damage but then we should strike comprehensively. Of course, this scenario assumes we are more advanced and have the nukes.
