- Broke the gold embargo by selling gold through Turkey - During Rouhani's rule, made a deal with Obama and pulled an operation against Ankara - Asked for help when Raisi's helicopter crashed - The wreckage that couldn't be found in 36 hours was located by a Turkish UAV in 2.5 hours - Said "No one else had a share, we found it ourselves" - Received messages of support from Turkey while being attacked - Had Friday prayer imams curse our operations into Syria - Has been shuttling back and forth to Ankara for weeks trying to mediate so America doesn't strike - Now that the conditions are ripe, wants to meet in Oman out of fear that Turkey will get credit.

Extremely dodgy nation, doesnt surprise me that all their allies have left them for dead.

I think Iran has a bad reputation due to their dishonorable conduct in international relations and this is hurting them immensely. Other actors themselves aren't angels, or USA/Israel certainly isn't more trustworthy, but the Iran is in a whole different league when it comes to backstabbing and callousness.

But it's just a minor-ish factor among others that changes the formula. And it probably won't lead to their downfall.

No,look at it from our position.
If Iran falls into the Western/Israeli camp we will be surrounded with possible hostile countries.
Israel will be bolder, the US will have bases there without Trump in charge.
Think about it.
It is best for us to keep the Mullahs ruling Iran.
We know the mullahs and how to deal with them.

This scenario is built on the premise that Iran falls in a very specific fashion.

But I agree with you in that a Western aligned Iran would be a complete menace.

Just a periodic reminder, Türkiye must have their own nukes.

They would rather be obliterated than do anything for Türkiye.
Don't forget they sided with Armenians during the Karabag liberation war.
Just recently, President Erdogan had made big efforts to bring them to the negotiating table with their US counterparts, and succeeded.
After both sides agreeing to meet in Istanbul, Iran demanded it changes the venue to Oman, fearing that Türkiye might get the spotlight (Yes, they're that petty).
Now it's fallen apart and their backdoor penetration is imminent.

Seeing the mullah regime gone is something I look forward to, but at the same time, another US/Zio satellite country on our borders is not a promising future.
They want to install the sell-out Shah descendent, who is way too deep up Israel's and US's arses.

Excerpts from the book "12 Days of War: Israel vs. Iran"

...Each squadron had its own set of targets, both primary and secondary. Intelligence spent considerable time studying the personalities of those to be eliminated in order to accurately calculate the attack strategy. This included their bedtime, whether they used the restroom or smoked at night, which room they slept in, and other behavioral characteristics. The goal was not only to eliminate the targets but also to avoid harming (or at least minimize) civilians.

...General Ali Hajizadeh, commander of the IRGC Aerospace Force, received information from Hezbollah about an impending Israeli strike. He convened a meeting of his command group in a bunker outside Tehran, which was immediately reported to AMAN, Israeli military intelligence. Some of the aircraft, armed with bunker buster bombs, were diverted there. At a tremendous altitude, the first wave of 140 aircraft approached Iranian airspace. Various measures, radio silence, and electronic warfare allowed this to be accomplished completely undetected by the Iranian air defenses.

Half an hour into the meeting, Hajizadeh concluded that the alarm was false; the radars from which the crews were feeding information into the bunker were clear. The general decided to send everyone home; the information received from the Lebanese was not confirmed.

We don't know for sure how exactly AMAN was monitoring Hajizadeh, whether he had an agent or a bribed officer nearby, or whether the bunker was wiretapped, but Israeli intelligence knew what was happening in the command center, in real time, so to speak.

An intelligence officer reported to the commander of the Israeli Air Force, General Bar, that Hajizadeh was sending his subordinates home, and that everyone would soon be gone. A decision had to be made, and it had to be made quickly.

General Hajizadeh was the man who would have given the order to retaliate in the event of an Israeli attack. He headed the IRGC missile project.

Tomer Bar, the commander of the Israeli Air Force, had barely a couple of minutes.

The success of an operation, arguably the most important in the country's history, was at stake.

The tension in the Air Force command post was so intense it was almost tangible, like an electric field.

"Turn on the IFF transponders," Bar commanded.

140 aircraft simultaneously appeared on Iranian radar screens. Hajizadeh realized the airstrike was coming after all and, along with his subordinates, remained in the bunker, where, fifteen minutes later, he was literally buried.

At approximately 3:30 AM, bombs began exploding in the apartments of other Iranian generals. It took the Israeli Air Force 12 minutes to literally wipe out the entire senior command of the IRGC and the Iranian army.

On the first day of the war, Iran completely lost military control, and for many hours there was simply no one to give the order for a retaliatory strike. Around 10:00 a.m., the Iranians launched a hundred drones, but all were shot down before entering Israeli airspace...

Trump's new plan: to seize Kharg Island (Iran).

"According to the British press, if the US-Iranian talks in Oman fail to yield the result Washington desires, Trump has already prepared Plan B: a swift and brutal airstrike against the Islamic Republic's leadership with the aim of physically eliminating Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and his inner circle.

The calculation is extremely simple: decapitating the regime should force the ruling elite in Tehran to capitulate.

After the operation, the White House intends to present Iran with an ultimatum: a complete renunciation of uranium enrichment and its entire nuclear program, a halt to the development of long-range missiles, and a reorientation of oil exports—oil currently purchased by China must be supplied exclusively to the United States.

The plan was reportedly prepared by Jared Kushner, Trump's son-in-law...

According to Netanyahu, eliminating individual figures will not solve the problem, and therefore the only strategic goal should be complete regime change. If the power structure remains, even under new names, Tehran will quickly regain its lost positions. positions.

The Pentagon is developing its own pressure scenarios. One of the most severe is the seizure of Kharg Island, a key hub for Iranian oil exports, through which approximately 90 percent of all oil sold abroad passes. Kharg Island is located in Bushehr Province, in the northwestern part of the Strait of Hormuz, approximately 25 kilometers from the Iranian coast. The island houses terminals, pipelines, and berths capable of simultaneously servicing dozens of supertankers. Not only oil but also liquefied natural gas is exported from here.

The military's logic is simple: blockading Kharg Island will immediately cut off the flow of foreign exchange earnings. For the Iranian economy, under sanctions and in a state of chronic deficit, this is tantamount to financial strangulation. The Pentagon is counting on the fact that the ayatollah regime, deprived of income, will quickly become paralyzed"

Interesting, Epstein files have only political repercussions in UK and Jewery gets Iran as reward.
What these creatures are not willing to do for the Jewery

This scenario is built on the premise that Iran falls in a very specific fashion.

But I agree with you in that a Western aligned Iran would be a complete menace.
That's the only fashion that it can fall. Any other fashion will be just aesthetic (a la Venezuela, i.e. reformist faction inside or a specific part of the irgc taking over). But even that is against our interests, as any aesthetic change will come with a change of political culture and rhetoric (because that's the only way to sell an aesthetic change as a real change to the populace) and this change will be against Turkish interests inherently if you know anything about Iranian culture and general public outlook.

Our nation through our nationalism in both the aftermath of Tanzimat and the Kemalist nation-building project is defined against Europe in a love-hate relationship; Iranian nation in it's modern 20th century sense was built and defined by Aryan purist Brits and Germans explicitly against the barbarian Arabs and Turks who plundered the beautiful Aryan land of Iran for 1300 years until true Iranians (Pahlavis) could once again rule Iran.

The mullahs, although themselves are thoroughly under nationalist influence and their bureaucracy is inherently nationalist as it stems from the education system and media, still have to operate under the pretense of Shia soft power and for this purpose limit nationalist sentiment and shun a foreign policy based purely on Persian nationalism. As a result the Mullahs are the bulwark against an explicitly anti-Turk Iranian foreign policy. They are anti-Turk, but all their alternatives are even more so. Keeping them there is paramount.

However this doesn't mean if Israel-U.S.A. start a regime change and balkanization process, we stand by in the sidelines. Our objective in that case should be to keep the mullahs or the irgc (former option is better, as in the latter case irgc will abandon the Shia veneer to adopt full Persian nationalism to gain legitimacy on fight against separatism) in the central Iranian plateau as a rump state, block the growth of Iranian Kurdistan and help Southern Azerbaijan get as big as it can be.

This is a very hard things to do in the minds of our foreign policy apparatus, hence they default back into full support for the Islamic Republic. Tbf the continuation of the Islamic Republic is the best outcome, but it's not at all clear that it's the only possible outcome. For any other outcome we must have contingency plans, instead of pure wishful thinking based on fears of refugees and such.

Not to mention the Pahlavi dynasty was a Persian dynasty after 1000 years of foreign rule. The Persians havent been ruling Iran since Seljuks and the Ghaznavids took over most of Iran.

Ferdowsis poems have always centred on Persian cope. Arabs destroyed them and the Turks proceeded to rule them. Ferdowsi poems were nothing more than a Persian crying how their world got turned upside down.

Persians try to cope with the fact that Turks, Mongols and some Arabs like the Abbassids took Persian culture and customs. Try to show look we did not get conquered but our culture conquered them.

The Persians and or Iranians did influence our culture and even Persians words came into Turkish. Iranians did play a role in the Turks becoming Muslim.

This does not make the Seljuks or the Ottomans as Persians. We all influence each other and take from each other. Eventhough some Turkic elites become Patrons of Persian culture that was largely political also the elites patronage of foreign cultures never translated its spread among the locals. Thats why the Seljuk and Ottoman elites were different from their local populace.

Romans spoke Greek were also influenced by the Greeks. Still doesnt make them Greek.

Iran is interesting especially as Khamanei is born to a Azerbaijani father and Persian mother. While Masoud Pezeshkian comes from a Azerbaijani family.

Even today Persians are disgruntled that they are not ruling the country hence why they want the Pahlavi family back. Iranians especially the disapora are trying to promote the image that they are white, pro zionist, pro american, western and european. That Iran mainly became backwards due to Islam and Non Persians.

Persian diaspora kicked Southern Azerbaijanis out of their protests for waving the Southern Azerbaijan flag thats all we need to know what they think of their Non Persian peoples in Iran.

Mullah regime shot a lot of Azerbaijani protests in Tabriz. It was all crickets among the Iranian diaspora mainly Persian ones.

Funny thing is that Pahlavis are majority Azerbaijani too. The current Pahlavi "heir to the throne" is like 65% Azerbaijani by blood. Kinda like how most of the Russian historical nobility were descended from the elite of the Golden Horde who got assimilated into Russian culture.

Not that it matters because a lot of these Azerbaijanis are assimilated too. Reza Shah Pahlavi conversed with Ataturk in Turkish and his wife was from Baku yet that didn't stop him from adopting a Persian nationalist stance.

Anyway back to the topic at hand, curious if JD Vance's visit to Azerbaijan had Iranian regime change on the agenda.

A large wave of American airpower is heading toward the Middle East to bolster forces already there as U.S. President Donald Trump considers an attack against Iran. Online flight trackers are showing F-22 Raptors, F-16 Fighting Falcons, E-3 Sentry radar planes and a U-2 Dragon Lady spy plane either in transit across the Atlantic or newly arrived in Europe. In addition, a seventh Arleigh Burke class guided missile destroyer, the USS Pinckney, has recently deployed to the U.S. Central Command Area of Responsibility (AOR) as well, a U.S. Navy official told us.

Really wonder that is there any relationship between Epstein files with US attack Iran.

China has ordered more oil from Saudi Arabia(and maybe Russia).
I think US cannot overthrow the Iran goverment, the result is limited strike(again) or negotiations(again).

US is gonna have 2 carrier strike groups and hundreds of aircraft around Iran pretty soon, not even mentioning Israeli air force, gonna have a force of more than 500 combat aircraft, this is gonna be more than a limited strike.

Main objectives will most likely be, complete destruction of nuclear infrastructure, including support infrastructure, and destruction of missile program, they will probably even target Iran's space program, destruction of air force and navy.
