I was told by supporters of that decision the system could be activated in mere minutes when it was needed in case of emergencies such as this one!

Weren’t they clowning on people rightfully pointing out that the system is useless sitting in a warehouse because “we can set it up real quick in case of need”???

If you check below map, you will see that where the remnants of the interceptor fell, Dortyol is 20-25km north of Iskenderun. That is too far north of Cyprus. It probably was going for the old US Incirlik-Adana airforce base. It is now a Turkish base for use of NATO too.

Also that line goes all the way to Konya (top left of the map) , where NATO AWACS planes have been stationed and operating by the Iranian border during this conflict.

It's unknown what type of missile it was—ballistic or cruise. The launch location is also crucial. It's possible it wasn't even an Iranian missile.
It's even possible it was a Shahid drone, and the journalists wrote "missile." After all, they're not experts; they could have been mistaken.

But given the situation, I find it unlikely that the Iranians attacked a military base in Turkey. And with just one (!) missile.

If the missile (ballistic) was launched from northwest Iran, it could have flown west through Turkish airspace.

There's not enough information yet to say with certainty where the missile was aimed.

If the moment approach's where either the disgraceful kurds make a move backed by the zionist demon, or the iranian state looks like it will collapse, Turkiye and Azerbaijan should move in to protect the Turkic people. Once protected, we can see where things will move going forward.
