Combine the resources of whole NATO (except US) and they will not be able to do any kind of SEAD in a country like that of Iran let alone conducting a rescue mission after that.
They simply don't have enough assets and logistics scale.
Remember last time when Houthis choked bab al mandeb, what did French and British accomplish there?
Literally nothing.
America was the one who not only degraded Houthis capabilities to the extent that they are no more relevant but also forced them to back off.
I don't think the Europeans support Trump in his Iran attack. It may be very destructive but it is not leading towards any useful end result.

The competence required to direct a country's civil and military foreign affairs is absent in Trump. I would say partly for psychological reasons - narcissism, meglamania and more. I think that he should be stood down using Article 25 of the US constitution. America needs a Casca and a Brutus to start the process of ending the emperor's reign. There may be a Casca or two or several around but is there a Brutus of the ilk of John McLain?

Trump and Hegseth are absolute trash politically but Trump can actually get the things in work unlike sleepy Joe

No one was willing to touch Iran and risk the political suicide at home but Trump did. That Guy got some steel balls.

Iran raises suspicion of ‘uranium theft’ plot after clashes with US forces

Recent US military operations inside Iran may have been meant as cover to seize the country’s enriched uranium, a spokesman said following a series of clashes linked to attempts to rescue downed American personnel, Anadolu reports.

There were “many ambiguities” surrounding the operations, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei told a Monday press conference, adding that the location where a US pilot was reportedly present in southwestern Iran was far from the area where US forces tried to deploy or conduct operations, reportedly in Isfahan, central Iran.

“This raises the possibility that the operation may have been a deceptive plan to steal enriched uranium, which cannot be ignored,” he said, comparing the operation to a failed 1980 US mission to rescue over 50 Americans taken hostage in the 1979 revolution.

Enriched uranium has long been a key issue between Iran and the US, with Washington suspicious that Tehran is trying to enrich uranium to build a nuclear bomb, a charge Iran denies.

On April 2, Iran said it had downed a US fighter jet in the Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province. US officials later confirmed that an F-15E had gone down in the area, with one crew member rescued but another initially remained unaccounted for.

Iranian media reported that US forces deployed helicopters into the region to recover the second crew member, but at least two helicopters were targeted by Iranian forces during the operation.

Clashes later expanded to Isfahan province, where US teams attempting a rescue were also targeted, according to Iranian media.

Earlier reports by Iranian outlets, including the Defa Press Agency, said Iranian units destroyed multiple US assets, including an HC-130 special operations aircraft, Black Hawk helicopters and several drones, and that fighting continued on the ground between Iranian forces and US personnel.

US media, including Fox News, reported that several American service members were injured in the operation.

The United States Central Command (CENTCOM), however, said Sunday that American forces successfully recovered both service members from inside Iran during separate search and rescue missions.

US President Donald Trump also said the aircraft was brought down by a shoulder-fired missile in what he called a “lucky” strike, adding that the rescue of one crew member was initially delayed due to concerns the pilot’s radio transmission could have been an Iranian trap. He said around 200 Special Forces personnel were involved in the mission.

There are more evidence now, which show the operation is not only a “rescue missions”, but a bigger mission for other goal.
It is an answer to explain why there were more than one hundred of US soldier, they cannot be here for just a rescue missions.

But how? Trump claims since 4 weeks ago that Iran's navy, airforce, anti air etc... is completely destroyed and non existant.
Forget about the Iranian navy. It no longer exists. Although even when it did, it raised many questions.

Perhaps some small speedboats remain, capable only of operating in coastal zones.

Their air defense systems are, one might say, ineffective in combat. Even if they manage to retain some of their air defense systems (by not activating them all, or due to their remote location), that doesn't mean they can destroy even an old B-52. The B-52 has such a high radar signature that any radar can detect it at very long distances. And yet, they brazenly appear in the center of a vast country, directly over strategic targets, and calmly drop 15-ton bombs on them.

Obviously, the enemy uses powerful electronic warfare systems that blind and deafen all electronic systems, at least along the entire flight path of their aircraft. Therefore, the radar signature of a huge bomber is of no importance there.

The downing of several drones may only indicate that the enemy is willing to sacrifice them for more valuable intelligence.

Yes, it's safe to assume they no longer have air defenses.

Figuratively speaking, if your cat doesn't catch mice, then you simply don't have a cat.

Iranian Air Defenses and Air Force was already mostly destroyed during 12 day war by Israel, which was honestly one of the most impressive aerial campaigns in history, Israel managed to establish aerial supremacy over Iran in 10 days, with no losses, only a handful of drones were lost.

Thats why Israel and US managed to fly in all the way to Tehran within the first day of the operation, and take out the high command.

a little over 6 months is not enough time to rebuild all the losses Iran suffered in the 12 day war.

Footage of a MIM-104 Patriot air defense missile malfunctioning during the repulsion of an Iranian attack on the Bahrain Petroleum Company (BAPCO) oil refinery in Bahrain. Judging by the video, the missile retargeted and struck the burning building.

A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again. I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS? We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!

I really donot want to repost such speechbullshit, whatever, he is the president of America.

Destroying a country's infrastructure does not destroy its culture or identity. Iran's civilisation will be the same tomorrow as it is today, albeit materially poorer for the damage to its civilian infrastructure if Trump proceeds to commit the war crimes he threatens to commit.

PS IMO Trump is no more likely to force Iran to surrender by bombing its infrastructure to bits than Putin is likely to force Ukraine to surrender by bombing its infrastructure to bits.

I don’t think Trump understands the concepts of culture and civilization.

Keep in mind that he is an uneducated brute who probably thinks that civilization means five stars hotels and golf courses, and maybe industrial capabilities.

Anything that can’t be measured in billions of dollars is outside his understanding ability.

Donald Trump stood at the White House podium on 6 April 2026 and implied, for at least the third time on record, that he deserves credit for the death of Osama bin Laden — a man killed by US Navy SEALs on the orders of President Barack Obama in May 2011.

I would say there is increasing evidence that President Trump is suffering from delusions dangerous to all and is unfit to hold his post due to suffering mental problems. I hope he is removed before he does something desperately dangerous for all. Should he order use of nuclear weapons, I hope the US military would refuse to follow that order. In a sense that would be a good scenario - he would have to be removed from office forthwith. You can't have a situation in which the US forces refuse to obey orders from the US Commander-in-Chief.

We are heading towards a very very dark period.

For the moment, they have not touched oil facilities. Looks like they only hit military installations like radar sites.
The US government might now claim that they kept their word and hit the Kharg İsland as they promised. And that’s a good way to stop further escalation.

Israel currently appears to be in a position of weakness, and they may seek to correct this image with a harsh and uncompromising response.
Considering Israel’s policy of responding to attacks with disproportionate force, the recent ballistic missile strikes launched by Iran toward Israel have, so far, remained unanswered. This raises the possibility of a severe retaliation, potentially including a large-scale and prolonged air campaign—or, in a worst-case scenario, even a nuclear response. I sincerely hope this assessment proves to be wrong.
