Iranian accounts are talking about a possible Kuwait operation. Americans are poised to go for Kharg or Bender Abbas.

This war affirmed the age old reality: Victory is at the tip of infatryman's bayonet. Everything else is just a complication.

U.S. Central Command has released footage from July showing strikes on Iranian targets. The U.S. employed drones, aircraft, and missiles for the attacks. Targets included Iranian military command posts, air defense and coastal surveillance facilities, naval infrastructure, missile and drone launch sites, and communications hubs. According to The Washington Post, concerns are mounting in the U.S. that the country could be on the brink of a full-scale military conflict with Iran. One U.S. official stated that stockpiles of air defense missiles and long-range munitions have been significantly depleted.

its the same story with iraq, afghanistan and libya and even syria previously. To get the americans going its always going to be quick and easy, then once their engaged its shown as a disaster. The reality is war is good business for those in america who start them, thats why many of them last for ages.
None of the countries you mentioned had the ability to directly impose a cost on the US economy. If Iran closes the Strait of Hormuz and the price of gasoline in the US rises to $6 per gallon, that would have a very brutal cost for the US.

Just imagine, they instigated the war against iran and now they get to sit back while the americans bomb iran and the iranians bomb the arabs. From their perspective this is incredible.

And while all this is happening the isrealis are still exterminating the Palestinians.
Again, this makes no sense to me.

If you want the Americans to leave you alone, how do you not attack Israel?

Do we think perhaps this is some agreement by all sides to avoid further escalation they keep Israel out of it and just let Arabs be hit?

Lets be real. Nobody really cares for the Oil Rich Arabs being hit do they?

Yes indeed. Eisenhower warned about the influence of the "military - industrial complex " way back in 1960.

In the early days of the war where iran was actually making an effort after 50 years to hit isreal, hakan fidan in my opinion was correct in his analysis. He said something along the lines that iran hitting isreal could have desired results, but attacking all her arab neighbours was not going to bring results.

As long as Isreal feels no pressure they will make sure the USA continues harming Iran. Unless Isreal felt they were in grave danger, there was no way for the zionist global cabal to pull america back.

Iran's IRGC says it launched another wave of missile and drone strikes on U.S. bases in Jordan, claiming:

• 1× USAF F-15 maintenance hangar hit at King Fasial AB.

• 8× new MQ-9 Reaper drones destroyed while still in their shipping containers before assembly

• 2× additional MQ-9 Reapers heavily damaged at Prince Hassan AB

• 2× U.S. heavy-lift helicopters sustained major damage

• Multiple U.S. personnel killed or wounded in a strike on a troop housing facility

what they going to do? Launch some ballistic missiles that will have near zero effect on any operational capacity and will only be used as an incident to convince the europeans that iran is a threat.

I think these iranians are little dumb to be honest.

Simply, because Iran itself wants to get the hell out of this war. The main issue of contention here is what each side will get after they get out of this war

Let me explain, firstly, If Iran fires at Israel, then Israel will increase pressure, through its proxies, on Trump to continue or even escalate the degree of war against Iran. Trump is weak against Israeli lobby and will bend the knee and obey if forced to fight. The only thing aiding Trump rn is the fact that the war is so unpopular among all segments of American society, except ultra-evangelical segments

Iran on the other hand feels conflicted. On one hand it needs some sort of compensation and a way out of this losing war and on the other hand they feel betrayed by the US since they didnt fulfill the first demand from the recent ceasefire agreement which is complete Israeli retreat from Lebanon

In other words, what Iran wants is a way out of this war while preserving its forces/influence across the region while the Americans want to get the hell out of this war while crushing Iranian influence over the region.

Iran wants to retain its influence by preserving Hezbollah and forcing a toll on the strait of Hormuz while having guarantees that oil will only be sold through the strait of Hormuz (which is an important crude oil transit and trade route) as compensation for what the Turks did by kicking the Iranians out of Syria. Trump is now trying to circumvent the strait of Hormuz and reducing its importance to zero by using both Turkey and Syria as oil logistic routes to the West which is again infuriating Iran. Israel, on the other hand, is supporting Iran in this endeavour as it doesnt want Syria and Turkey to gain more influence while ensuring that the West remains busy with Iran as it will give Israel the leeway to completely annex the regions it just conquered in Lebanon and Syria while killing what remains of the palestinians without any consequences

So there you have it. Iran doesnt wanna escalate but wanna get out of this war as a winner and the same for US. Iran already lost a lot so if they end this war without gaining anything substantial, they will start falling towards the path of doom

Turkey, on the other side of the spectrum, wont help Iran and but also wont help the US. From my understanding, Turkey believes that as long as the US and the West are busy with Iran and the possibility of them building nukes, it gives more time to Turkey to beef its technology and army since Turkey is next on the list of nations to be eliminated for Israeli security and hegemony; furthermore, it reduces the trust the gulf has for the West as a security guarantor and this provides Turkey with more space to wiggle into a potential weapons market while increasing its geopolitical importance as a security guarantor to the gulf. Finally, this war further promotes the new logistic/trade route put forward by Turkey from Turkey-Syria-Jordan-Saudi Arabia-Yemen as a more stable alternative to strait of Hormuz which will also give an edge to Turkish producers and also put in mind that Turkey's energy and trade needs arent dependent on the strait of Hormuz in the first place, unlike other nations. Consequently, Turkey wont suffer a lot if this war continues

And there you have it

“Iranian drone attacks on CIA facilities in the Gulf have prompted U.S. intelligence analysts to investigate whether Russia assisted by providing targeting information or advanced drone technology, said four people familiar with U.S. intelligence.

These people, who spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss national security matters, said U.S. intelligence officials have ‌not yet reached firm conclusions about the possible Russian involvement in the attacks on CIA facilities.
But they cited the strikes' effectiveness and apparent precision, as well as Russia's broader technical support for Iran, as possible evidence…

Two Western officials in the Gulf who were briefed on intelligence reports said analysts thought the Saudi attack involved a pair of Russian-enhanced versions of Iran's Shahed drones.”
