WHEN IS IT FROM?
The satellite photo in question was obtained via a satellite passing over the festival area at 11:32 in the morning on October 8, 2023, and the image belongs to this moment.
In other words, the image was taken 29 hours after the Hamas attack, which took place at around 6:30 in the morning of October 7, 2023, while Israel's army order was still in disorder. Meanwhile, the Hamas attack on the festival area had already ended.
On the other hand, when this photo was taken, the Israeli army had begun to discriminate between civilians and Hamas members (at least according to their own rhetoric).
WHAT CAN WE SEE?
Although the weather is partly cloudy, by chance we can see the festival area, the forest area and the abandoned vehicles along the road, just 29 hours after the attacks started.
Some burnt spots can be detected on the road. We can see that the vehicles around these burnt spots are still “white” and have much less damage compared to the destroyed vehicles serviced in later images. In other words, even explosions that leave burn marks on the asphalt cannot be what turns the vehicles into what we see in the videos.
On the other hand, it can be seen that most of the vehicles abandoned on the roadside, far away from the burned spots, are still undamaged 29 hours after the attack.
CONCLUSION
