They built an rubbish...

On December 26, 2017, the developer, Komatsu Ltd. , and the Ministry of Defense postponed the development completion date to 2021 or later due to defects in the bulletproof plates of the prototype vehicle. [2] [3 ] .

On June 2, 2018, it was announced that the development plan had become a blank sheet [4] , and on July 27, the development project was officially announced to be canceled [5]

The equipment of the Japanese Self-Defense Forces, which has always been famous for its "high quality and high price", has recently "fumbled". Japan's Kyodo News Agency stated on the 30th that the new wheeled armored vehicles planned to be introduced by the Ground Self-Defense Force for outlying island defense and overseas dispatch were eventually abandoned due to quality problems. According to the report, "the setback in the research and development of large-scale equipment of the Self-Defense Force is really rare." This matter may also affect the overall combat power of the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force in the future.

According to reports, this heavy news was announced by the Japan Defense Equipment Agency. According to the Department of Defense Equipment, Komatsu Corporation, the machinery giant responsible for the development of the armored vehicle, delivered five prototype vehicles to the Department in January last year. In the bulletproof test, the board was shot through many times. In December last year, the agency asked Komatsu to make improvements and postponed the development completion time from 2018 to after 2021. Komatsu has also discussed switching to other body bulletproof materials, but the final evaluation results show that even if it continues to develop, it cannot meet the goals of bulletproof, body weight, and mass production cost, so it decided to stop research and development.

As a result, Komatsu's proposal was adopted . However , in June 2018, development was announced to be discontinued due to problems such as bulletproof performance in subsequent tests . But that wasn't the only problem. As far as the author interviewed, it seems that there were many problems such as rough terrain driving performance
