Toko Tekko from Akita Prefecture, Japan has proposed an idea of building a self-propelled hangar to the Japan Air Self-Defense Force.

The semi-cylindrical shaped hangar relies on rails for movement and has a thickness of several millimeters for protection.

The company hopes to explore the concept with the Ministry of Defense to determine the cost and performance requirements. It may also offer to attach caterpillar tracks to the hangar for greater mobility. A laser sensor can be used to determine the exact position of the fighter and the hangar will approach it autonomously.
