Wearing of headscarves, burqas and preaching clothes is banned in Kyrgyzstan. The law also bans the establishment of political parties based on religion, the use of religious elements in election campaigns, and members of parliament working as clergy.

Similar things are happening across all Central Asian countries. They're all getting repulsed by AKP.

These Turkic countries in Central Asia are worthless slaves. They keep back-stabbing Turkiye's effort for closer integration. They are undeserving of statehood.

Worthless slaves?

You know who's really fitting of that title? Women in Afghanistan (no disrespect to them, I feel bad for them all)

Former Soviet-era leaders are destroying their countries.

The same bans were enforced in Turkey for many years. We wasted our time and energy for nothing. Without religious freedom, the development of a country and society is not possible.

Why do you bring Afghanistan into this discussion. talking about countries, yours doesn't exists - just like the future of these Central Asian puppets if they don't get their act together.

Tell that to China.
China's success doesn't change anything. China's system is built on attracting foreign investors and manufacturing. Moreover, most of the Chinese people are already atheists. Today, no one can say that there is no religious freedom in China.

Religion is not the basis for developing a country in these modern times. The basis for a nations development is it's human resources. Giving them the freedom to study and achieve greater heights are what drives the country forward.

Backwards thinking Manchauvenistic tendencies are all rooted in religion. Show me one religion where the woman's word is law ?

I congratulate our turkic brothers for prioritising "secularity". and let religion be a privat matter.

Yeah idk, Kazakhstan is doing pretty damn well. For being landlocked nations surrounded by less than ideal neighbors, the Turkic nations in Central Asia aren't doing half bad. Türkmenistan of course is the odd one out.

I'm talking about wasting a country's energy and time on internal conflicts. If granting religious freedom brings peace to the country, it should be given up to a certain limit.

It doesn't state anywhere that there aren't religious freedom. being narrowminded and assuming that is the biggest flaws of so called muslims.

You are free to practice your religion privately, trying to use it for political influence is what the turkic country wants to avoid.

See how the people who voted for AKP are not getting shafted, and since they have no better option they have to continue sucking RTE d*ck.

Egypt and Lebanon have religious freedom, why aren't they thriving? Afghanistan, Iran, and a bunch of other majority Muslim nations have religious freedom (for Muslims), why aren't they the utopias you say they should be?

I'm not saying religion should be completely banned, but what's happening in Central Asia is a reaction to Taliban, the rise of Islamic terror groups and tyranny through religion. I bet a big part of it is also a knee-jerk reaction to recent developments in Türkiye, where Turkish identity is under assualt with Islam being the shield which has protected those who seek to destroy the nation.

What I'm saying is, these Central Asian Turkic nations view Islamism as a trojan horse and they're absolutely correct. What's going to stop China in the future from backing Islamist terrorists in Central Asia, then going in and systematically taking over it Israel style? You realise that's EXACTLY WHAT ISRAEL DID? They backed Islamists in Palestine, and it all worked beautifully for them.

"Hamas was initially discreetly supported by Israel as a counter-balance to the secular PLO. During the 1990s and early 2000s, the organization conducted numerous suicide bombings and other attacks against Israel."

I feel like a majority of Chinese people I met are either Atheist or believe in local supersitions or their folk religions.

My Asian Friends regardless of ethnic group tell me they look at religion really differently compared to how Islam, Christianity and Judaism look at it.

Hence why Asian countries are not entirely atheist hence why Taoism, Shintoism, Buddhism and local supersitions seem to be the norm.

I lost hope in Turkmenistan man.

Really fcking weird country it makes me sad. Imagine this the home of the Oghuz Turks becoming a meme.

Seljuks and the Ottomans all trace their lineage to Turkmenistan. Turkmenistan deserves better instead of a whacky stupid dictatorship.

Turkmenistan is true home of our ancestors for both Turks and Azerbaijanis. Just seeing it really saddens me as fck.

You see what I mean? I Still love Turkmens regardless.
it takes time to develop a nation and what matters is that the foundation is solid and the education system is solid enough to do the job. You can't expect countries that have been under Sovjet rule to make a comeback in some 35 years.

I think managing to bridge gaps and connecting on cultural level is important and should be the foundation that we build upon. Cultural values, and not religious values.

I like the way Turkmen women are dressed.

So beautiful and so cultural.

Turkmenistan also has a great flag. So aesthetic.

Well at least he knows how to throw a party hahaha.

In all seriousness, I think Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgzstan are on the right path. Of course Türkiye will be key for their future. I think if we get a better leader Central Asia will flourish. There's whispers amongst the Turkic states at recent dissatisfaction of the Turkish government. Which is a shame because just a few years ago there was a LOT of optimism after the 2020 AZ-AM war. What we are seeing now in Türkiye is nothing but treason. It's unfortunate that AKP dropped nationalism for Islamism and Kurdish seperatism. 2020 was an amazing year where we all felt proud to be a Turk. Imagine how perplexed you would be if you were an official in one of the other Turkic States, seeing the 2020 war, the growth of the defence industry and over all being extremely optimistic, and then now in 2025 you see Türkiye making peace with PKK, jailing a nationalist opposition leader, kicking military staff out because they did an oath in support of Atatürk. I think they're concerned to say the least. Remember, if Türkiye falls, the Turkic world does too.
