This is what we should be doing with all of our reserves and old vehicles:

Cold War-era tank transformed into UGV.

A tank that rolled off the French production line in the 1960s reappeared at the Eurosatory exhibition, but without a crew and still bearing a turret. According to Defence Blog, S2M Equipment and KNDS France unveiled REFURBOT at the Eurosatory in Paris. The system, called REFURBOT, is a modernized AMX-30 tank converted into an unmanned ground vehicle (UGV) using KNDS' TOXO robotic kit.

KNDS’s TOXO kit is known as a package containing the autonomous and remote control systems needed to drive, steer, and operate a vehicle that is no longer occupied. Mounting the kit onto the hull of an existing vehicle, rather than designing a new unmanned platform from scratch, is not a new idea. However, doing it on this scale, on a chassis as large and heavily armored as a 36-ton tank, sets REFURBOT apart from other examples.

Instead of the AMX-30’s original manned turret and 105 mm Modèle F1 gun, REFURBOT carries the ARX-25, a remotely controlled weapon station built around KNDS’s 25M811 automatic cannon firing 25mm x 137 rounds.

Useless equipment. As a. technology demonstrator ok to improve and test but not as active service vehicle not when we have other options
What are your thoughts on FNSS hybrid with Alka laser integrated? I thought it was a promising project since you already need a big battery for the laser itself and electric vehicle can easily run the laser and the engine from the same battery

It’s ok though I would prefer a 6x6 or 8x8 as platforms also depends on the range if it’s less than let’s say 25mm Atom. But overall cost effective especially for smaller bases
