GNA doesn't have proper Navy/Coast Guard
Reason why they don't have an airforce, it requires a maintenance infrastructure.
I am sure they will eventually get lightly armed boats. They should have got some already.

As I remember a part of the training of Libya's armed Forces also includes Navy. I recall we talked about Libya not having a proper Coast Guard Vessels, but that is something we could build for them, we offshore patrol boats of 500-900 tonnage would be great.

Surely having a vessel ready for drills and operations would make it easier to train the Navy.

LNA boarded that vessel to have hostages.

I do not understand why GNA doesn't have proper Navy/Coast Guard. I think it was a failure on Turkey's part not to ensure Libya got some big CG/Navy vessels.
nobody wants to sell them and i suppose turkey is not able to spare some ships from inventory? proper navy is complex thing to establish, doubt that couple of patrol ships would make difference, at this moment that would be only targets for sinking.

I hardly doubt CG vessels would be targetted especially considering Turkish vessels are still positioned in Libyan waters.

they would, haftar has aviation and those ships would be legitimate targets, so you need lot of cooperation between branches, you need some aviation for air supremacy to be safe, gna is merely more then militia force now and turkey still does not openly step in, also it would lead to further escalation with egypt for sure, really messy situation to handle without major consequences.

There is a reason why they are painted white.
they meant to be seen from far, not to target but to enforce law , or to rescue. Imo, CG ships would be last to be targeted and ethically it may raise voices if they target CG.

"War with Turkey" lol, more like desire for part 2 of the never ending tactical retreat.

They stopped and boarded a Jamaican flagged ship, go ahead try it out on a Turkish flagged ship.

Anti-tank missile in Libya looks like Iran-produced weapon -U.N

They are talking about the LNA btw.
Or they’re trying to put the blame on Iran and throw in another round of sanctions.

I dont care about Iran in this context, just as much as we can use this and Russian support as leverage if he had any politicial influence left in Washington.

I know a lot of you will disagree, but I hope we can cooperate with the Americans in Libya with the new government in Washington the priority of countering Russia will be higher again.
