EU's Operation IRINI commander puts off Libya visit over visa issues
Italian news agency, NOVA, said the commander of the European Union’s Operation IRINI, Fabio Agostini, postponed his visit to Libya because his accompanying delegation couldn't obtain entry visas.
NOVA said the visit was scheduled, yet Libyan authorities didn't give visas to six of the European delegation members, adding that three diplomatic sources confirmed this issue in Tunisia, Tripoli and Rome.
It also reported a European source in Tunisia as saying that they had to cancel the visit, while a Tripoli source said there was no coordination among Libyans due to the absence of a Defense Minister and the preparations for elections.
