Don't know where to post it, but there is a "connection" to this topic. We can clearly see that Iranian Military especially IRGC elite is openly Anti Turkey more Anti-Turkic. Turkey should watch Iranian moves in Iraq closley especially their proxies (Hashd-al-Shabi). In the near future we will see more and more moves towards the north.
He is right.

7 PKK terrorists neutralised and weapons captured, 20 seconds in he points to peak and says there's a remote controlled weapon that they haven't dismantled yet.

If we looked into history. The reason why Turks adopted the local cultures was due to political reasons or the situtation of the time not because we were amazed or some shit like that.

Same reason why we adopted European and Western culture.

Yep, you enter and conquer Persia as a small ruling class, its easier to adopt their language and customs then to force yours onto them. Its been the same anywhere the Turks conquered.

Even now the whole "political islamist" politics is about a class of people taking control of Turkey and then trying to take control of the surrounding Muslim regions. Its not cause they care about religion, its purely power and politics.

The Turks will talk about a united ummah but in reality we just want to dominate.

Same story with the Arabs and the Persians.

We all want to dominate for the mantle of Islamic leadership. With this we believe we can unite all Muslim countries under one banner.

Can you imagine me going to some Iraqi and Saudi tribal people and say you now under the rule of a Muslim Turk super state they will quickly execute me.

This is the problem with political Islamists they just cant accept the differences in ethnic groups, customs, clans, tribes, races you name it we believe we can easily unite people under religion.

Seriously Islamic history a lot of the Muslims regardless of Turk, Arab, Somali, Persian, Berber, Malay we all spent fighting each other rather than uniting.

Only we can unite people is with bloodshed. I mean before the Ottomans became an empire they had to fight the various Turkish beyliks to take control.

If only people read some history and see this shit continues today.

Middle East is not homogeneous enough to ever unite peacefully. I dont think there will ever be another empire in the region or at least not in my lifetime or the next.

Empires come and go.

Only middle east seen peace was under an empire. Once an empire collapses it leads to hell.

Middle East is one of the most strategic places on this planet also the birth of 3 world religions along with being the cradle of civilisation.

Everybody wants to control the region. Every time an empire collapses an power vacuum is created in the Middle East.

Middle East you have Turks, Arabs, Persians and the Israelis all vying for local control. Americans, French, Chinese, British and the Russians are all here too.

Its a geopolitical playground. Terrorists like isis, al qaeda and the pkk are just pawns in this whole game of chess.

It seems qandil is not really important as it was the areas that the TSK is taking are much more important as the TSK wants to cut pkk's routes to Syria.

Qandil's importance is basically symbolic at this point.

Imagine if Turkey can cut pkks routes to Iran that would be one of the biggest game changers.

The terrorists were in a cave requiring special attention and special forces were tasked to take the cave. In result of the operation 7 terrorists including an area commander were killed without any casualties from our side. Other than the weapons important organization documents were seized.

In order to understand to what level PKK have came it is important to note that the PKM and an M16 there were equipped with thermal/NV sights. The RCWSs are also equipped with thermal sights.

It is worthy to note that in the beginning of the operation other than air assaults there was also a successful land infiltration carried out by our soldiers at night. To conduct a land infiltration in such environment is not an easy task and we should congratulate our soldiers for their professionalism and sacrifice.

The Mountains of northern Iraq have become the pkks playground for decades the pkk use to take the fight to the country.

Now its the opposite as Turkish soldiers are at the gates if not already inside.

How the tables have turned only thing I see is pkk fanboys and fangirls having a cry they really thought this would be a vietnam situation.

Its just not possible, if a country gains too much power in the Middle East they are destined for desturction by the superpowers.

21st century can not be compared to the 15th century, the US is everywhere and will not take kindly to Turkey or iran trying to establish an empire.

Which is why the best way to go is for regional countries to form pacts and prevent any superpowers destabilising the region.

Not possible, even if every country in the region allied together Europe, and the USA could steamroll everyone twice.

Lets face it, the region will never unite besides a few countries banding together without much power compared to even Europe. Turkey has allied with Libya, and Somalia and for Pete's sake both of them can't prevent a fly from landing.

The Muslim world is destined to stay a weak shell of itself for hundreds of years unfortunately. Nothing we say or do will ever change that result.

Thermals are becoming very easy to get, even the Taliban have been using them against ANA recently.
