PKK had created a defense line consisting of tunnels and tower positions in Afrin. With the improvement of weather conditions and the use of 203mm guns, the defense lines on the border collapsed in less than a week.

In Operation Olive Branch, they prepared a defense line with a network of underground tunnels and attached buildings within the city. This line collapsed before it could last a week, as the tunnel activities were heavily hit by the Turkish Armed Forces, they could not use the tunnels effectively, and the cities were surrounded.

In 2021, this time we came across tunnels dug into the mountains in Iraq/Avasin. TSK was also prepared for this situation. More than 60 terrorists were neutralized in 7 tunnels with the pressure created by the explosives detonated at the tunnel entrances.

Now let's come to the tunnels that the Turkish Armed Forces could not clear. Seri, Matin, Sida and Bazni. Tunnels where efforts were made for months but still the PKK could not be exterminated. Each tunnel has its own difficulty. In one case the battlements are on a horizontal cliff. The other goes very deep. Another one has too many battlements, etc.

But the basic reasons why these tunnels cannot be destroyed are the same. The tunnels have natural ventilation holes, drilling cannot be done because the mountain is too hard, and since there are too many entrances, they give the opportunity to spot enemy elements that are active around the tunnel.

The tunnels are large, have a labyrinth structure, generally descend in terms of hight, tunnel entrances or defense points inside are so low that a person cannot walk standing, and these low points are trapped with IEDs.

Easily detecting and targeting the mobility of enemy elements operating in the tunnel, building positions/rooms against the pressure created by explosives, any gas that can be used in the tunnels being considered a war crime, etc.

As a result, a modern army could not penetrate an organization's tunnel-based defense line. Hamas tunnels are very different. But there is still a tunnel conflict. It would be useful for them to look at what the PKK did in the tunnel conflicts, just as they took it from the PKK in the Paramator incident.

You understand my purpose in writing so much. There is no reason why the Israeli army will have difficulty or lose just because there are tunnels. These tunnels need to be well prepared for possible scenarios. I wrote the parts that make the situation harder for TSK above. I'm sure this will make the situation for the Israeli army as well.

There are reported airstrikes in Metina but these are routine things. What is not routine is the following.

The fight between PKK and KDP deepens.

The Arabic editor of Roj News (PKK's media branch) is missing. According to information from PKK he went on a visit to Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo which is an YPG stronghold. He then decided to return. On route to Suleymaniye he was abducted by KDP forces at the Habur border crossing between Turkiye and Iraq. He is missing for 6 days now.

While this crisis is developing PKK media also started to target KDP media. They openly accused two journalists part of the K24 television strongly connected to the Barzani family to be agents of MIT. They accused one of them with recruiting activities in the name of the National Intelligence Organization and shared voice records of reportedly "agent of MIT" with a well known Kurdish advocate.

Operation Claw Lock: Tunnel clashes had been going on for months between the Turkish Armed Forces and PKK terrorists on the Metina/Gapnerk line.

We were 95% sure about the exact location of the tunnel. With the video shared by the organization, we have now learned the exact location of the PKK tunnel.

PKK has 3 active tunnels close to us in the Metina region.
1 Gapnerk
2 2000m altitude hill
3 Selaza

There are efforts to destroy Gapnerk and the tunnels on the 2000-altitude hill. The Selaza tunnel will most likely be addressed next year.

The tunnel is 1 km away from the Peshmerga base. It is located in the easternmost part of the Gapnerk mountain. The location of the tunnel is very strange. We have never come across a tunnel in such a location in Iraq. Due to its location, explosive detonation at the entrance could work. Unless the tunnel is too deep.

PKK terrorists must have shot the video from somewhere around the Selaze tunnel. They take images from an estimated distance of 9 km. Turkish Armed Forces activity in the region continues. We will talk more clearly about this tunnel when the activity ends.

Within the scope of Operation Claw Lock, 2 terrorists, 1 of whom was on the "GRAY" Most Wanted list, were neutralized on the hill line at an altitude of 2000-2060 in the Metina region. The 1 km deep tunnel used by the terrorists was also destroyed by elements affiliated with the Turkish Armed Forces.

The tunnel had 3 exits and concrete reinforced corridors. Products of first needs, weapons, ammunition, thermal umbrella, cables, generator and explosives were seized and destroyed in a controlled manner by our EOD teams.

According to PKK sources after the recent clash between Hashdi Shaabi/Iraqi Army and the Peshmerga in the area of the Karacok mountains, representatives of the two sides met and discussed the tensions. According to sources 3 control points will be given to Peshmerga and 3 control points will stay under Hashdi Shaabi/Iraqi Army control. Iraqi officials denied the reports. As there is still no official confirmation the news are unconfirmed at this point. Protests were organized by PKK regarding this issue.

HPG made a statement regarding the cooperation between TSK and Peshmerga and showed a video of the positions of the two forces next to each other

HPG: "KDP forces placed Turkish soldiers next to their positions on the line of Girê Amediyê and Metina; they provided logistical support, built roads and in this way protected the invading soldiers, served the Turkish state's goal of occupation. The events that happened in the last month showed that the Turkish state has made the KDP its bodyguard and is using it as a soldier in its plan to invade South Kurdistan."

Keep hitting suddenly! 3 PKK terrorists detected in the Qandil region in northern Iraq were neutralized by an airstrike. Our fight against terrorism and terrorists will continue effectively and decisively!

PKK sources showed an unidentified plane flying over Suleymaniye dropping flares. Could not identify it.

This is now going to damage the Turkmen. See already:

These guys are still celebrating saying they have prevented Barzani entering Kirkuk.

Turkmens won in Kirkuk!

The protests that started weeks ago in Kirkuk to prevent the return of the Peshmerga have yielded results and the Peshmerga Kirkuk has not been able to return.

Today, the KDP was forced to hand over its former headquarters to Kirkuk University.

We were united, we did not give way!

However, this 5th column seems to want to mislead people about Barzani who actually entered Kirkuk today after recovering multiple offices, donating this one to the university.

I am unsure what the purpose of misleading people here is unless it is to pressure the Turkish government, or make them look ineffective.

Note as elections are due to occur soon, these were the 2018 results:

Kirkuk:
KDP 11 % = 2 seats
PUK 36,8% = 6 seats
Turkmen 12,5% = 2 seats
Arabs 16 % = 2 seats

If the PUK take the majority of KDP seats then the governance of Kirkuk will be PKK, Hashd friendly, important for routes to Syria.

This is probably why Iran has been trying to prevent the return of Barzanis.

Troops affiliated with the Turkish Armed Forces were deployed on the hill line between Hetit and Linik within the scope of the Claw-Lock operation.
1699456402016.png

This summer, bases were established on the entire 12km summit line of Linik. Linik is Zap's most dominant area. Although more than 15 terrorists were neutralized this year, the terrorist presence under the hill continues. In the past weeks, we gave 1 martyr and took 2 PKK terrorists.

It seems that the region between Hetit and Linik will not be left empty.

1 > The villagers had been reporting that they had been seeing soldiers on this hill line for months.

2 > PKK is not there because the Barzanis have a power plant.

3 > Peshmerga is establishing 2 new bases to protect the power plant.

Operations also continue in the Claw Lightning area of operations. During search and destroy activities 1 cave and 5 shelters belonging to terrorists were found. A lot of living materials were seized in caves and shelters.

2 terrorists were killed in a MIT UCAV strike in Suleymaniye/Ranya area. The terrorists were on foot. There are also wounded in the strike. Looks like our forces are becoming more and more aggressive taking out targets in close proximity to civilian infrastructure. We are talking about a very risky operation. Anti-personnel MAM-L was used.

4 drones lost in last six months. While not losing pilots is good, this still a loss of at least 50 million dollars in 2 Ankas, an Aksungur and a TB2. Hope it’s not a sign of something.

The landing gear on the left of the picture of the Aksungur is French. Beringer.

Also if thos was an engine failure, that says a lot about whether it's even possible to produce a jet fighter engine in the next few years

Why? Please enlight us, with your knowledge.

After human error the most aviation crashes are caused by mechanical errors most of the time engine failures. The F-16 has over 600 mishaps, go check out how many caused by engine failure.
