Don't know if it's true or not. And also don't know the dynamics of Iraqi Turkmens. How should be interpreted ?

Wouldn't there be drone wreckage?

Haven't seen anything yet. Also Ozdag and the Kirkuk Hashd guy keep tweeting about it being PKK, so I think it would be more likely to be Iran or a rival within Hashd or Turkmen front

Note Hasan Turan doesn't mention PKK, only his rivals such as Ersat Salihi and his faction do, who are attempting to capitalize on it.

There is a group that is supposed to be 'Turk' or 'Turkmen' claiming responsibility for burning down markets and shops in Iraq.

We made our final warning to the tribal lords who ignored our call to the so-called government of Northern Iraq to "put down their rags and wave the Turkish flag in Erbil Castle, the P*shmerga ministry should be abolished and attached to our army in the status of temporary village guards" by sabotaging the Duhok market. If the poor and pathetic Kurds do not prove that they accept the Turkish yoke by hanging our glorious flag in their shops and city squares; We will shed their blood profusely in our future sabotages.

In the morning of April 1, 2024; As we did before in Erbil and Kirkuk, we attacked the Çele market in the center of Duhok by developing a target attack and by sabotaging the shops of 'ker' Kurds, we completely destroyed 65% of the market!

Could be idiot grey wolves, could be Ersat Salihi's move to polarize, could be PKK, could be Iran driving ethnic tension to benefit it's policies. I highly doubt Turkish government is stupid enough to start doing something like this.

It will make things harder for Turkmen.

The fire is visible here:

PKK Sources:

KDP wants to incircle the guerrilla with the coordination of MIT.

A Local Resource:

2 days ago, KDP forces moved from Şeladize and Deyreluk to the east of Gara within coordination with MIT. They built 4 new military posts in front of Heft Tabaq mountain. Now they are working to convert these points into permanent points. The goal is to surround Gara. To cut off the guerrilla connection between Zap-Metina and Gara and block their movement.

Along with the military force, they brought armored vehicles.

Citizens from Şeladize and Dereluk are not allowed to enter Gara region.

The Peshmerga movement of the KDP continues in the region.

KRG/Peshmerga forces are reinforcing the Deraluk and Sheladiz regions between Gara and Linik.

Preparations for the coming operation are going non-stop. Initiatives are ongoing for the isolation of Tepe Bahar from the main logistical center in Gara. This way supplies will not be able to reach positions at Tepe Bahar or Matin. There is an intense movement of TSK units in the southeast for some time and positions are being reinforced in the north of Iraq.

Sources report the following:

Containers to accommodate the troops that will participate in the cross-border operation in Iraq in the near future have arrived in Hakkari's Semdinli district.

It is expected that some troops in Syria will be shifted from Syria to Iraq in order to participate in the operation. The first containers arranged to accommodate the troops that will participate in the operation have arrived in Semdinli.

After the units regroup in Semdinli, it is planned to join the cross-border operation in Iraq from there.

It is expected that reinforcements will be sent, consisting by commandos working base areas in Syria.

In addition to the commando unit from Syria, two separate commando units are expected to join the Operation Claw Lock in the coming days.

It is reported that the 3 new units will hold the already secured areas in the Claw Lock AO and the commando units that are currently deployed there will be responsible for advancing the operation further.

We also see that our boys started moving actively on the Matin tunnel again. I think this is the second explosive charge set in the last 2 weeks, targeting the Matin tunnel.

The operation will probably start in June, serious preparations are ongoing, but the date of the operation may become clear after Erdogan's visit to the USA

While TSK airstrikes continue daily in the areas around Tepe Bahar and Matin mountain we got report on TSK strike on two buildings in Asos, Galala village. While PKK media says that 1 civilian was killed in the strike, TSK claims that 4 PKK terrorists were killed.

This is a location in which PKK leaders are targeted often due to the close proximity to one of the main HQs of PKK (~4km).

There are very little leaks regarding the ongoing situation. For sure we know that there is fighting going on around Selaze, Asihe, Yekmale, Hanke and Hirabe. PKK claims that TSK launched attacks on areas around these villages, but we don't know if TSK was inserted trough air assault operation or other method of insertion. We know that the Turkish Air Forces are hitting targets all around already taken positions like the Matin tunnel for example.

It is known that PKK continues its presence in Metina with the help of 5 tunnels. By the looks TSK is deployed in areas where it will try to establish full domination over Gapnerk Mountain and with the remaining forces they will try to attack the tunnels by starting with the one south of Selaze.

It is reported that TSK is conducting a different kind of operation than the ones before. Tactics has changed. We will try to follow more and report.
