Does Turkey have some sort of iron dome system in the works.

After seeing the rockets land then watching videos of the iron dome doing its job.

Do we have any in the works?? This gap needs to be fixed just a matter of time before they get bold start showering rockets.

I don't think so but it wouldn't be too hard for Turkey. There is a large market for Iron Dome type systems in the MENA which is why the UAE is developing a short range type missile with RSA engineers.

Saudis, and other oil countries need it badly to protect refineries from Iran so Turkey could also make aales to them.

That's what we have as C-RAM. Artillery detection radar with a range of 100 km will be used as radar.

Would there be a danger of shrapnel from missiles ? Energy is probably the best but that's far ahead in technology
There might be a small danger but intercepting 5-6 km away shouldn't pose a very high risk especially if missiles are accurate enough where a smaller warhead can be used.

Rheinmetall recognized that their guns are not sufficient so is partnering with UAE company to offer a joint product with a CRAM HTK missile. I think 35mm isnt that good and range for CRAM is only 1.5km for mortars and small uavs. Also what about swarming strikes the system doenst seem like it has enough time to destroy all targets.

"Golden Cage " that equals to Iron-Dome is on the way however there haven't been any official statement.

I knew about the Golden cage aka Altin kafes but I really thought it was just a concept but it seems it will be Turkey's very own iron dome.

Yeah I wasn't sure, seemed a bit extreme.

I found the ad, placed March 12 and it does have the FSA flag in first image.

  • Russia is hitting civilian areas in the proximity of 2-3 km from the border with Turkey.
  • DEVELOPING: Russian jets hit areas close to heavily populated towns and camps in northwestern Syria near the Turkish border - Reuters cites witnesses and Syrian opposition sources
  • Russia hits points close to the Turkish border. After the Tarhine and Al-Hamran attacks Russia continues to send messages to Turkey with ballistic missiles and airstrikes.

Absolute joke, on the one hand you have officials who want closer ties to EU, with the addition of economic and social reforms.

On the other hand, you have officials who want to cut ties with the West, leave treaties, and go back to an unorthodox economic policy.

Either way their are people that want closer ties with Russia and despise close links with the US, but at the end of the day, who is the one constantly bombing civilian areas and killing Turkish soldiers?
