Syrian oil leak again heads towards Turkish Cyprus
The massive oil slick from Syria's Mediterranean coast has again started to flow towards the shores of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC)...
I think this oil leak was done on purpose. There are no news fro. Syria about any issue, so that leaves eco terrorism of sort aimed at polluting the beaches and hurting Turkeys tourism.
Potentially TSK should consider a respons to this act. Like targetting the pipelines, and if the message fails to be understood take out the refinery.

We have to still be wary of any move to strengthen US presence. Remember when Trumps decision to pull out was reverted to relocating. Though they ended up moving some bases from Iraq.
Also we have to be wary of the Russian bear.

Not before we've dealt with the refugee issue in Turkey. If we pull out too soon the refugee issue will just deteriorate. Russia doesn't care since flooding EU with them is best solution for dissolving EU.

If Turkey is removed from the equation there's absolutely no reason for Putin and Assad to let them live. They are only useful as proxies against Turkey.
If Turkey is no longer a threat, they outlive their usefulness.
On the contrary, if Turkey retreats from Syria and they keep attacking Turkey from Syrian soil, they give Turkey a casus belli to go back. Which the Russians would not want. The math is pretty simple. Putin is a smart man.

Local kurds are just some peasants YPG has a office in Russia, Russia supports them in Tel Rifat and as we saw didn't intervened when YPG clashed with SAA in Qamishli. Russia would basically fill the gap and use them against us. And yes your thoughts are naive.
Turkey has to move in cut N.Syria from Sinjar/Duhok, destroy YPG camps/depots/tunnels and hunt down high ranked members.
