Not even the Ottomans or Ataturk controlled the army.

Turkish Army have always been independant. Yavuz Sultan Selim his own soldiers threw a arrow to his tent to symbolise how unhappy they were with what was going on.

What this shows that the Armed forces cant be used by anybody for their whims.

HTS crushed remaining rebel groups not under its authority in Idlib at areas like Turkmen mountains. The Azeri group was exiled to Afrin. HTS Islamic emirate dominant force now in Idlib, minimal SNA influence.

Unlike its namesake, I doubt Turkmen live anywhere near here anymore, HTS rules with iron fist.

HTS also expanding into SNA areas like Afrin, Ra's Al ayn

I believe HTS is a threat to Turkish National Security

HTS has no influence in Afrin or Ras al Ayn. Turkey does not allow them in areas that has been liberated by the Turkish army.

The Turkish Army is nobody's spare tire. Every time the government gets stuck, they make a operation. Weren't these ypg guys a danger 2 months ago? Wasn't it dangerous 3 years ago? Where were you when it happened? Will we trust you?

Every time the men get stuck, they talk to the ambassador, they say they won't give the priest, they say they are doing an operation. There are still those who play pure nationalism.

S/UAVs belonging to the coalition shot the Daesh leader named Ebu Hamza al Şühail in Ras al-Ayn.

Rasulay is also in the Turkish Control Area.

If you're aware, it's been the third, Daesh and al-Qaeda leaders are found on Turkish soil, destroyed or arrested.

These operations are carried out not by Turkish hands, but by foreign powers.

This situation causes Turkey to be presented as a terrorist financier in the international community.
Excuse me but your accusations are totally absurd. Those strikes are happening with the coordination between Turkey, HTS and the US. Turkish and HTS controlled areas are traps for high level ISIS and Al-Qaeda terrorists. Low level collaborators are let to roam free so that they assist ISIS figures in their smuggling to these areas so they are later killed by US drone strikes or captured in Turkey. Turkey is one of the most important intelligence suppliers to the anti-ISIS Coalition.

What is the point of border wall construction then

it is not like chinese great wall that "stopped" mongol invasions.

seriously, get a grip and pray that upcoming operation will result with enough compact teritory liberated, which will provide more effective conditions for future negotiations and refugee problems management.

If Turkey starts doing things in the open Idlib will not be the same ever again and not only Assad, ISIS and YPG bombs will explode in Turkey but bombs of many other known and unknown. A certain balance and a face should be kept in order the status quo to be kept still.

They are slowly moving in. They took control of border checkpoints with Afrin and constantly assassinate Hurras Al din members in Ras Al Ayn. They're going to keep growing
HTS is controlling these checkpoints including Bab Al-Hawa border crossing not from yesterday. Can you tell me when did HTS assassinated members of Huras Ad-Deen in Rasalayn? I have never heard of such a thing.
