If this was indeed negligence on his part, retiring the general would be the way forward indeed. Rest is up to the courts to find if he was related to the act directly.

A source familiar with the expanded meeting of the ruling Arab Socialist Baath Party in Syria , which was held on May 4, revealed that the Syrian President who chaired the meeting announced the government’s intention to reach political solutions with the Autonomous Administration within a few months.
He stressed that the Syrian President said in his closed speech to the attendees that the beginning of reaching solutions with the Autonomous Administration “will not take years but rather a few months,” while Al-Assad did not address the situation in northeastern Syria in his televised opening speech, which lasted about an hour and a quarter, while the focus was About developing the party internally and the necessity of its existence to stand “in the face of the challenges facing the country,” in addition to the concept of the party’s relationship with power.

All talk no action when it comes to iran clearly arming pkk terrorists. Sooner or later those arms will also end up in the hands of their syrian counterparts, whats the plan then? Meanwhile Erdogans "friends" fill their pockets by helping the iranians bypass sanctions.

According to the organization's announcement, a total of 2 military posts, 2 houses and 4 vehicles were hit in Tel Hamis and Amude countryside yesterday. The organization announced that they had a total of 4 casualties and a total of 11 injured.

This comes before the 11th June where PKK is expected to hold elections.

The people of the region reacted to the so-called elections of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG

The announcement of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG that it will hold "local elections" in six regions on June 11 was protested in many regions after the Friday prayer today.

The people of the region gathered after the Friday prayer in the cities of Afrin, Azaz, Al Bab, Tel Abyad and Ras al-Ayn and expressed their reactions to the elections. Protesters chanted in Arabic: "We do not accept Syria as a headquarters or corridor to threaten neighboring countries", "PKK's plans to disintegrate Syria will not succeed", "We will resist separatist games just as we resisted tyranny", "The Syrian people with all their components" is one", "How does a racist terrorist organization claim to organize elections?" and "No matter what the Qandil supporters do, Syria will remain free and whole". Explaining that the terrorist organization occupied his village, Sarmudi said, "They are occupying our 10 thousand decare village. 350 families and 4 thousand civilians have been displaced to Tel Abyad, Turkey and the liberated areas. We do not recognize (the organization) so that we can recognize their elections." he said.

Some people speaking to the media stated that the terrorist organization wanted to make the elections a 'fait accompli' and that the people of the region did not accept the so-called local elections.

USA rejects so-called elections

US State Department Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel spoke at the daily press briefing about the so-called local elections to be held by the terrorist organization PKK/YPG in the lands occupied in Syria.

Patel pointed out that any elections to be held in Syria can only be held in a healthy manner after certain conditions are met, and pointed out that free, fair and transparent election conditions should be created in the country.

It is known that the terrorist organization is trying to legitimize itself by taking advantage of the unstable and forgotten atmosphere of Syria.

The organization also carries out lobbying activities in the USA for the elections.

Despite the US's rejection statement, it is known that there is US-YPG cooperation regarding the "elections" behind closed doors.

His organization's so-called "Syrian Democratic Council" signed a 6-month lobbying contract with a US-based public relations firm to engage in lobbying activities in Washington on October 12.

Washington-based firm "Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP" was hired for a hefty fee of $50,000 per month.

Edward Royce, former Chairman of the US House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs, will be at the center of this issue. In this context, the company was assigned to help the terrorist organization develop relations and pursue research with the US administration, especially on issues related to the northeast of Syria.

The scope of the contract also includes training decision-makers in the US administration to convince them that the so-called "Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria is the best solution to find a permanent solution to the Syrian crisis."

The contract, which includes meetings with House of Representatives and Senate leaders, senior officials in the Department of State, Department of Defense and Department of Commerce, as well as United Nations (UN) organizations, also stipulates that the firm will lobby to encourage investment in northeastern Syria.

So far, the American and Russian pledges to the Turks regarding the SDF project and preventing its development into what threatens Turkish national security are still considered sufficient for the current stage, and there is no preparation for Turkish military action in northeastern Syria.
The threatening statements have an internal goal to pressure the Kurdish party and its incubator and improve negotiations on the new constitution.

As a result of the operations carried out by MİT in Syria, 9 PKK / YPG terrorists, including the Tel Hamis commander, were neutralized.

4 PKK/YPG terrorists, one of whom was determined to be the Tel Hamis so-called field commander, who were determined to be preparing to attack the Turkish Armed Forces border troops on the Syrian border, in the Tel Hamis region in the northeast of Syria, close to the Sinjar (Iraq) region, were neutralized yesterday evening.

Two vehicles were hit at the same time while the two vehicles in which the terrorists, monitored from satellite, were slowing down in the area determined by the terrorist organization as a security point, an air operation was carried out by UCAVs in line with the coordinates received in advance.

Two vehicles were hit with full accuracy at the same time. In the successful operation, 4 armed terrorists in the vehicle were killed, and one of them was determined to be the so-called field commander of the Tel Hamis region.

Pinpoint shots in Qamishli at the same time, checkpoints, shelters and armed training camps belonging to the terrorist organization were also hit in 8 separate operations carried out simultaneously with UCAVs in Qamishly district, just next to Turkiye's Nusaybin district, and in the Amude countryside. It was learned that 5 terrorists were neutralized in this operation.

This comes after a long pause in operations due to foreign forces pressure. If these boundaries are crossed we are talking about some serious escalation going on.

As part of the Syrian Interim Government's project to transform and develop the armed forces, the Military Academy under the Ministry of Defence was inaugurated.

Within the scope of the project to transform the Syrian National Army, which was established under the leadership of the Syrian Interim Government, into a modern army, the opening of the Military Academy, which was established in Afrin district of Aleppo to provide modern military training to 500 personnel, was held on 29 May 2024 with the participation of Syrian Interim Government and Syrian National Army officials.

The Military Academy will ensure the transition of the command and administration structure of the Syrian National Army to a regular army, and the personnel to be trained will improve the central, legal and military quality of the armed forces of the Syrian Interim Government.

The Military Academy will contribute to the graduation of new qualified officers and leaders capable of protecting the nation and ensuring stability and security, reflecting the determination of the interim government to support the National Army and work to build a better future for Syria.

Honestly, these UAV attacks are meaningless tbh
The only thing they do is weaken the organisation temporarily until they elect a new one to take their positions. Turkey has been undergoing a sucdessful hunting operation against the PKK from 2022 but all what it had done is weaken the PKK temporarily and nothing more. They just grow another tail and come back again

To defeat the PKK you need to either
1- Cut their primary source of income which comes from USA, Iran, Assad, and Russia
2- Just go in there, take the areas that they unrightfully claim to own by force and throw them towards Assad and let them spread their filth there
3- Cut their source of training and tech expertise which comes from USA and Iran

The elections, IMO, are happening nonetheless regardless of Turkey's UAV attacks since the PKK knows that this the only was to consolidate their power after Turkey's intensified Iraq operation. If these elections were to happen, PKK in Syria would strangthen and Turkey's ambition to secure the Syrian border would be going back to square one

Till this day, Iam waiting for Erdogan's Syria operation that he promised since 3 years ago. The more he waits, the more energy, manpower, and casualities he will have to commit to restore it later on and that is if he will be able to restore it, when he is this late, in the first place

Meaningless? Due to these UCAV attacks PKK is militarily on its knees. The only thing preventing PKK from a total collapse is the situation on other fronts. The people that PKK lose to these UCAVs attacks can not be filled the way you imagine. These are not ordinary terrorists which are targeted. They may be able to fill the numbers, but not the expertise and quality. If it was not for these strikes we would have talked a totally different picture today, like the one in 2012 for example where we were losing more than 5 soldiers every day within the borders of Turkiye. Such people can not be replaced easily.

Which operation exactly you are waiting for? The one in Manbij, the one in Tal Rifat, the one on Ayn Al-Arab, or Ayn Issa? These are totally different things requiring different efforts so the situations at these places can be sorted out. A lot of you guys make the mistake to look at Syria and the PYD/YPG problem as one whole while the reality is totally different.

What MIT is doing is a part of a systematic approach towards the YPG (note: not the HRE!) in Syria so the threat can be contained until a suitable environment for this operation is established. For this operation to happen there are many requirements which should be met both in the political, but also on the military side of things. We will never be at square one in Syria. With elections or not Turkiye will not allow "Terroristan" at its borders. The last one to try such a move was Barzani and we can see where he is now. Different from Barzani, the YPG is a terrorist organization so you can imagine how the situation will end for them.

Tbh I was hoping for something more that deals with their political structure. Especially where they fool kids and people in the cities.

Iam not trying to discredit the TSK by any chance but I just feel that the effect of assassinations within the PKK isnt that effective as before

As I said before, Turkey has been assassinating those assholes since 2021 and yet just new heads keep coming to replace the old ones. In fact they have become really good at such habits that they even started imrpoving their weapons program (according to rumors that the PKK is trying new drones in Iraq)

So from what I can see is that the PKK's allies, primarily USA and Iran, have established some sort on infrastructure/pathway within their own lands or the territory they own in order to continuously pump out PKK officers of a certain expertise level at a certain rate in order to fill the gaps caused by the PKK. Think of it more of like a mediocre factory that keeps pumping out officers/products at a stable rate no matter how much Turkey kills.

In other words, the PKK (as an organisation) have somehow evolved into becoming an entity tha wont be removed regardless of the number of assassinations but will just operate less effectively for a time period until such gaps are placed later on

In order to solve that, Turkey should either
1- Curb their human resources
2- Occupy/destroy the areas where they are training/producing such officers
3- Just completely kick the PKK out of the Turkish border

The first 2 options are nearly impossible since PKK's modus operandi is based on a "belief" or "faith" of a more prosperous race in a more prosperous nation called Kurdistan. Honestly, by now such faith have developed into something akin to religion and this wont be defeated except by brute hard force and reality just like with Armenia and Artsakh. The second option is also difficult since the US will just keep pressuring Turkey by using the myriads of economic cards within its hand

The military option seems the most realistic and is the most effective in dealing with such scenarios as it was proven in the Azerbaijan/Armenia war

I know that all of the methods are difficult to initiate but if you think that the upcoming elections will be canceled due to these drone attacks, then you are mistaken and now with the PKK being threatened in Iraq, they need some kind of justification to start kidnapping/brainwashing a larger populace to become able to resist the flow of time (as some might say) by recruiting them into their ranks legitimately
