According to the organization's announcement, a total of 2 military posts, 2 houses and 4 vehicles were hit in Tel Hamis and Amude countryside yesterday. The organization announced that they had a total of 4 casualties and a total of 11 injured.
This comes before the 11th June where PKK is expected to hold elections.
The people of the region reacted to the so-called elections of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG
The announcement of the terrorist organization PKK/YPG that it will hold "local elections" in six regions on June 11 was protested in many regions after the Friday prayer today.
The people of the region gathered after the Friday prayer in the cities of Afrin, Azaz, Al Bab, Tel Abyad and Ras al-Ayn and expressed their reactions to the elections. Protesters chanted in Arabic: "We do not accept Syria as a headquarters or corridor to threaten neighboring countries", "PKK's plans to disintegrate Syria will not succeed", "We will resist separatist games just as we resisted tyranny", "The Syrian people with all their components" is one", "How does a racist terrorist organization claim to organize elections?" and "No matter what the Qandil supporters do, Syria will remain free and whole". Explaining that the terrorist organization occupied his village, Sarmudi said, "They are occupying our 10 thousand decare village. 350 families and 4 thousand civilians have been displaced to Tel Abyad, Turkey and the liberated areas. We do not recognize (the organization) so that we can recognize their elections." he said.
Some people speaking to the media stated that the terrorist organization wanted to make the elections a 'fait accompli' and that the people of the region did not accept the so-called local elections.
USA rejects so-called elections
US State Department Deputy Spokesperson Vedant Patel spoke at the daily press briefing about the so-called local elections to be held by the terrorist organization PKK/YPG in the lands occupied in Syria.
Patel pointed out that any elections to be held in Syria can only be held in a healthy manner after certain conditions are met, and pointed out that free, fair and transparent election conditions should be created in the country.
It is known that the terrorist organization is trying to legitimize itself by taking advantage of the unstable and forgotten atmosphere of Syria.
The organization also carries out lobbying activities in the USA for the elections.
Despite the US's rejection statement, it is known that there is US-YPG cooperation regarding the "elections" behind closed doors.
His organization's so-called "Syrian Democratic Council" signed a 6-month lobbying contract with a US-based public relations firm to engage in lobbying activities in Washington on October 12.
Washington-based firm "Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP" was hired for a hefty fee of $50,000 per month.
Edward Royce, former Chairman of the US House of Representatives Committee on Foreign Affairs, will be at the center of this issue. In this context, the company was assigned to help the terrorist organization develop relations and pursue research with the US administration, especially on issues related to the northeast of Syria.
The scope of the contract also includes training decision-makers in the US administration to convince them that the so-called "Autonomous Administration of Northern and Eastern Syria is the best solution to find a permanent solution to the Syrian crisis."
The contract, which includes meetings with House of Representatives and Senate leaders, senior officials in the Department of State, Department of Defense and Department of Commerce, as well as United Nations (UN) organizations, also stipulates that the firm will lobby to encourage investment in northeastern Syria.
