Talking about the new ammunition factory our folks should consider making different kinds of ammunition too. Not only for military use but also civilian too. For pistols particularly. In 9 mm catridges we only make FMJ whereas JHP ammo is more preferrable for self defence. One of our private companies have done their research to produce this catridge but there is no sign that its being produced. There is also many other varieties of 9 mm and shotgun catridges. Some other calibers are less popular and it is acceptable to rely on imporys for them.

Turaç has 9mm JHP and subsonic one but in Turkey you can not buy it.

The industry needs to pressure the government to change laws to accommodate a wider variety of ammo available to both the service people and to civilians. Which they do some but not as nearly as much as in the US which is the richest market for variety. However our small firearms industry serves the world market and it is good to put out a wide variety of products both for exports and the domestic market. Government has a good control of how firearms are used to it is time to give a slack to users to boost domestic gun ownership and self defense abilities. Remember they had to use wooden rifles to teach civilians how to defend themselves in the Ukraine.
