Congrats to you all for the recent achievement in the ballistic missile sector

regarding CENK , I think it will probably have the same concept as the Iranian missile Kheibar Shekan

This iranian missile is quite sophisticated. and has outstanding pricision for its range and balistic trajectory. ( I didn't expect iranians to achieve such precision and manuverbilty with BM )

According to wikipedia the missile seems quite advanced, yes. Although still not sure about their precision, iranians are probably ahead of us in missile technology. It seems they even have ramjet missiles, Qaj Hasem. Within the next 5 to 10 years, though, if Türkiye continues at this pace, we will certainly be in top 5, with a comfortable distance from fire worshippers.

Yeah, they are quite good with missile considering the sanction and budget retrain. however, they have been working on these for decades now. So, that's not very surprising either.

Their earlier genaretion missile had high failure rate and terrible precision. But the newer ones are much more improved.

Here is kheybar shekhan's precision.
CEP seems to be 5 meter or less.

Were these Iranian missiles not available when they did a retaliation attack of Soleimani assasination on US bases in Iraq. It was not an effective attack as far as I remember.

Yes, this missile is dangerous. I expect the Turkish MRBM to be bigger and heavier than this with a similar or slightly higher payload capacity to reach ranges around 2000-2500km. The missile will %100 have stage separation. The missile will be in the ballpark of 6-7 tons launch weight with probably 900mm diameter. It will probably come with multiple warhead options such as MaRV, HGV, and MIRV. The missile should cost around 5 million. With 3 MIRV warheads, the cost per target should come under 2 million which makes using them conventionally cost-effective. There might be something between this missile and Tayfun. A 1500km range missile with a 500kg payload and a weight of 4 tons. Maybe Cenk fills that spot.

We are ahead in composites, rocket fuel, and missile subsystems like actuators, electronics, and avionics. They are probably ahead in reentry vehicles. They are outsourcing critical components from China.

"Very important phases have been passed. When the GEZGIN project is completed, a missile system with groundbreaking technologies like GÖKHAN and with no equal will emerge."
GEZGIN already has a project background of about 10 years. Its name was shared about 3-4 years ago first, but before that, it was a project we discussed in defense forums. The system was originally intended to create a counterpart to the Tomahawk missile system, but in the intervening time many new concepts and technological capabilities have emerged. The current announcements show that all this enormous effort is now on the way to results.

And about other big boy; although it needs confirmation, I am of the opinion that the CENK system is not a ballistic missile. At least in terms of flight trajectory, I have another expectation.

They were doing this for so long, I believe they can build all the subsystems by themselves.

Nope, it was introduced next year after the incident.
And also they used a lot older fateh110 missile in the strike, which is from 2002.
Last but not the least, intention wasn't to start a war, but rahter a political massage.

You seem to be a real insider! Are all these info your guesswork?

This is information for IRIS-T family. We can compare it with Turk developing missile system layers

On an unrelated note, we should have taken the name Skywolf. There is the wolf connotation as always and "Gökbörü" (sky wolf or blue wolf) has been a thing since the Gokturk Empire. Maybe it could be used for an aircraft in the future.

Ballistic missiles with long range make sense when they have a nuclear warhead, otherwise it has not much impact compared to it's cost.

I hope the Tusas build TISU drone is a heavy lifter 0.7 Mach drone (to carry TRLG-230 and TRLG-300 rockets), more bang for the bucks with similar ranges

There is not much telling about the size of the plane but it totally depends on availability of engines. TF6000 and Özgün engines are the national engines that are in the pipeline now. TF6000 is the more likely candidade to power such a plane. Carrying capacity will totally depend on if the plane will be carrier capable or not in the first place. If not a carrier capable plane despite a smaller engine it can carry a good payload. If they choose a riskier path and use a foreign engine it can be any size. A twin engine version is probably a step up after a single engine model comes online.

TISU has an MTOW of around 8000kg. It will be able to carry 2000kg of payload.
Ballistic missiles up to 2000-2500km make sense without WMDs. They can certainly be deployed and used in a conventional war in a meaningful way. At current tech they are not only terror weapons anymore.
The Iranian missile above has a range of 1450km and has a MaRV warhead which means the warhead can execute maneuvers after stage separation. It has great accuracy against stationary targets. Iran uses those missiles against enemy long-range air defense radars and valuable targets. Warhead probably hits its target at high supersonic speeds if not hypersonic.

Juicy - CENK | Pretty much is confirmed to being a Ballistic Missile and a step above Typhoon

Great news!

Yildirim (150km)
Bora/Khan (+2x more range than Yildirim)
Tayfun (+2x more range than Bora)
Cenk
Unknown system

Considering that there is a range increase of more than 2x at new missiles, it can be seen where Cenk sit within range targets announced by president before. Some warhead, navigation and guidance technologies which will make a ballistic missile much more effective as described by Mr. Ismail Demir take time.

Question: Does a rocket launched towards the east burn less fuel for the same distance than a rocket launched towards the west?

In other words, does the rocket travel a longer distance towards the east, say 3000km while it can travel 2700km towards the west?
