A nice tutorial about various vertical missile launch systems.
Turkish MDAS systems will probably be using cold launch; then in time may evolve in to a soft launch.
Thanks to embargoes being in place the indigenous cold launch will probably materialise earlier than planned. They are safer than hard launch, used by the MK41 type systems.

“Soft launched”?

“Soft launched”?
According to the explanation given here; Soft launch is another version of cold launch. By using minimum amount of gas to launch the missile , less force and stress is exerted on the electronic sensors. Also because of less gas usage simultaneous launches can be realised.

Northrop Grumman has been testing to use ramjet propelled 155mm artillery ammunition rounds to achieve around 100km range with pinpoint accuracy.
BAE Systems has been developing hyper velocity projectiles that can reach 90 km with guidance and hit targets with hypersonic speeds.
MKEK has been working on making our 155mm howitzer rounds smart by adding guidance. But we should be really looking in to developing extended range smart artillery rounds.
My money would go to the BAE Systems’ hyper velocity projectiles. These rounds can be used in rail guns too. Aselsan already achieved 9+Mach speed with it’s Tufan rail gun. Given our close cooperation with BAE Systems in TFX, we should look in to this Hyper Velocity Projectile with them. At hyper speeds these projectiles would demolish any tank , just because of their high kinetic energy without the need to carry explosives.

Within the scope of the project initiated by the Defense Industry Presidency, ASELSAN delivered the first Precision Guidance Kit HGK-82 to the Turkish Air Force Command.

Within the scope of the HGK-82 Modern Ammunition Procurement Project Agreement signed between the Presidency of Defense Industry and ASELSAN on August 22, 2019, the acceptance inspection tests of many HGK-82 precision guidance kits were successfully completed and delivered to the Turkish Armed Forces.

HGK-82 is a multi-throw guidance kit that converts existing 500 lb Mk-82 general purpose bombs to ammunition with smart and precise strike capability from air to ground with GPS / INS guidance system.

ESSM block 2 , should be operational by the end of this year. Roketsan has been actively involved in the development of this missile. They are expensive missiles but are fast - 4+ Mach - and capable of intercepting supersonic anti ship cruise missiles. I would like to see these in our I class frigates.

Evolved Seasparrow Missile Block II

Currently in development is the Evolved Sea Sparrow Missile Block II (ESSM Blk 2), which is expected to feature an active guidance system that both sends and receives electromagnetic (EM) signals to improve its flight. This active guidance system will reduce ESSM’s dependence on ship-based illuminator guidance systems, such as the U.S. Navy’s SPG-62 radar. Illuminators bounce EM signals off targets to “paint” them to provide terminal guidance for the interceptor. Equipping the ESSM Blk II with its own active illuminator system will make it more capable against maneuvering threats. Australia, Canada, Denmark, the Netherlands, Norway, Turkey, and the United States are jointly acquiring Block II, which is scheduled to be fully operational by 2020.

And of course there is the ESSM ER to be considered too. With the “right” booster section added to the ESSM 2 , the missile can still fit in to a Mk41 VLS canister and extend range to around 130km with almost 60% increase in altitude too.

Sure? A turkish ESSM equivalent this year?
