Wing integration into TEBER Guidance Kit

"A design change was made in the TEBER Guidance Kit, which makes the Mk-81 and Mk-82 type aircraft bombs used by the Turkish Air Force smart. TEBER, which previously consisted of wings on the tail, a 'shirt' surrounding the bomb, and a laser seeker head at the tip, now also has one wing on the body. The wings will facilitate the use of TEBER by UAVs.

It is emphasized that TEBER's manoeuvrability has increased with the wing integration and that it will perform much better, especially in firing profiles requiring high G traction. TEBER can be used by fighter jets, various fixed-wing aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles; It has a semi-active laser seeker head, global positioning system and inertial navigation system."

Not exactly a smart munition, but effective, cheap and easy to produce. A Mk-81 with TEBER wouldn't even be half as expensive as MAM-L with 3 times more punch, great option for Aksungur and Akıncı to have.

What do you mean by "not exactly a smart munition"?

A munition with triple guidance (laser+ins+gps) is a real smart munition

Eh, I wouldn't call 90's tech slapped on 60's bomb a smart munition, but personal preference, you do you mate. It's a guided bomb, not exactly high tech.

By definition a “smart bomb” is a precision guided bomb that falls on it’s target solely with force of gravity.

A 2000 lb MK84 bomb carries 429kg of Tritonal (20% Aluminium 80% TNT) high explosives. Any other munition that can deliver that amount of explosives with precision guidance are either ballistic or large cruise missiles powered by jet engines. And they are in excess of a million dollar mark. With no more than 30 thousand dollars in cost a “smart bomb” like a JDAM is a no brainier.

A KGK OR HGK kit creates a smart bomb out of a dumb bomb, irrespective of what decade it was built originally.

LGK-82, HGK-84, KGK-82, TEBER-82 laser guided bombs; ASELSAN Miniature Bomb  and Gökdoğan-Bozdoğan Air-to-Air missiles of Turkish Air Force shown at  Saha Expo 2022 fair, with Bayraktar TB2 and Akıncı UCAVs. Came across a recent brochure* by Turkish Navy's DPO and it has listed following missiles as part of the AD system;

Hisar-D (that we know of)
Sapan GM-1 / 2
Siper-D

From here we can further deduce that Sapan GM-1/2 is the family of quadpackable missiles. 1 refers to Hisar-D B2 and 2 refers to extended range version of it.

*will take a better look next time, might have missed it some part; as in Siper-B1 might be present in the list and the Sapan family might be actually referring to monoblock Siper-D 1 and booster version, 2.

I'm pretty much dazzled at this point, they alternate between calling SAPAN a FCS and a missile.

Also, I thought that HİSAR-D was to have to blocks with the second being quadpackable

The brochure is made by DzKK, not fanboys or media outlets so it is semi official, and it refers to Sapan as a 'GM' with two blocks.

Since it hasn't caught my attention that Hisar-D B2 was present in the list, i took Sapan family for Hisar D B2-B3.

I will take a look again when i had the chance, i stored it away somewhere in the office.
