Any news about gezgin?
this post about GÖKHAN was in my X feed today. Were these figures shared before or is the guy just speculating?

Yeah, it is guesswork. Even at sea level, I think the missile will have a higher speed than Mach 2. Even the ramjet cruise missiles fly over Mach 2 at sea level.this post about GÖKHAN was in my X feed today. Were these figures shared before or is the guy just speculating?

Well, actually isn't it to some extend? Also, the issue is not altitude
What Mr. Kozan meant was that ’forget about altitude. The issue here is the lack of domestic radar’. It wasn’t a speculation on his part but a fact check.Well, actually isn't it to some extend?
Because air density changes with altitude.
True, and the aircraft. We don't have an aircraft that can actually realistically use Gökhan at that altitude. Eurofighter could, but it won't have Murad. We need Kaan. What Mr. Kozan meant was that ’forget about altitude. The issue here is the lack of domestic radar’. It wasn’t a speculation on his part but a fact check.

Greeks are getting really predictable and boring now. If that was our aim we could have paid Qatar, under the table, to misplace one of theirs ages ago. It's not like France goes around Qatari munition depots counting them one by one.As we were speculating Gökhan, I came across this.
Greece Sounds Alarm: Türkiye Accused of Reverse Engineering METEOR Missile to Build Its Own GÖKHAN

Greece Sounds Alarm: Türkiye Accused of Reverse Engineering METEOR Missile to Build Its Own GÖKHAN - Defence Security Asia
n a move that has sparked fresh tensions, Greek defense sources allege that Türkiye is poised to exploit its impending acquisition of the long-range METEOR air-to-air missile as a blueprint to secretly engineer its own indigenous GÖKHAN missile, potentially reshaping the region's aerial combat...defencesecurityasia.com

Even if France could check one by one, nothing would change. A well-organized and very large team could examine and copy any air-to-air munition in its entirety within 24 hours. Reverse engineering by copying, never gives good results. The material science used by you and the original will always be different. Therefore you will always hit snags. There could be certain fine critical points that may help design your own equipment. But that is where reverse engineering should stop. It is always best to design and produce your own.Even if France could check one by one, nothing would change. The munition would then be placed back into the EF-2000 fighter jet and destroyed by firing it as soon as possible under some pretext.
Thus, the French would not have the chance to examine the munition for copying in Qatar. The Greeks cannot even think of this. This is a very surprising situation.
I fully agree to you. If we go by the Meteor example, let's say you examined the Meteor Missile in 24 hours. The problems starts after that. Especially those with very tight tolerances and requiring long periods of trial and error to integrate into the system, will often be extremely costly. In the Meteor example, this part should be solid-fuel ramjet.Reverse engineering by copying, never gives good results. The material science used by you and the original will always be different. 90% of their "complaints" and "warnings" are nothing but fearmongering and xenophobic bullshit. Besides, I bet this is because they got fuck all from their talks with Macron, as Greek media reported Macron refused to veto a potential sale.Greeks are shouting at deaf ears. What they are claiming has no substance.
