Do we know how many missiles will be delivered in the 1.2 billion USD contract? Is there any information about the accuracy of the guided Pinaka MLRS?
DRDO is aiming to increase the range first to 120 km, and then to 300 km. Pretty good progress!

Haven't been following that but at Aero India they displayed a model of a Pinaka launcher with 4 x tubes per box:

The regular Pinaka has 6 x tubes of 214mm per box:

...so it seems a larger diameter rocket is coming that can be fired from the same launcher, just in a different config.

Instead of 12 x 214mm rockets, we can have 6 x 214mm & 4 x larger (300mm?) Rockets on the same vehicle, or just 8 x 300mm.

Either way, it's gonna be modular. Now I just hope we develop a new SRBM that can fit on this launcher.
