Yes; The reason is that US did Postponed the delivery Of M1A2M abrams for morocco due to poland ordering them and the war in Ukraine; plus The merkava will replace M-60 paton which constitutes most of the moroccan armor force.

The T-72M1CZs will replace the M-48 tanks in the Moroccan Sahara , the M1A2 SEP V3 was not postponed (it will be delivered the begining of the next year) , the Merkava will operate along with the Abrams in the eastern region while the modernized T-72s are going to be placed in the berm wall , the M60A3TTS is still in service (modernized) and will support our premiere units facing Algeria in different regions (mainly the eastern and southern ones)
