We all know the wonderful ones....Lisa, Erika, Marlene....

But my favourite probably is Lore, Lore, Lore, Lore....

That wonderful daughter of the forester.

The Heino covers were always super solid on it too.

I till recently thought the perfect 21st century modern cover doesn't exi-

Tief in das junge Herz hinein

I learned wrong language to be romantic (French). It was German all along hehe.

Love these covers of the russian classics by this content creator too (he is hit and miss overall though):

Want to post music from my region. Unfortunately I extremely doubt anyone will be interested considering how cheap production value of the video. Not to mention according to some western linguistic expert, the songs were in extinct language (which imply that I'm also part of an extinct demographic). And I also doubt most fellow Indonesian posters here even speak or understand the language

Aham! So here is the music (Казачья колыбельная) from which the Bulgarian patriotic song about the ship Radetski and the Botev's unit is influenced. Very interesting!

This evokes such gravitas and history. Man the emotions really come through!

It must be quite a thing for you as well...similar to songs I appreciate governing partitions and revolutions but on both sides of borders today....and how I feel about it (while appreciating the aesthetic) compared to how others feel about it.

My feelings towards it is out of the political perspective and I am not gonna lie... I feel a little bit controversial about it but I like listening to such controversial themed music. I like to be able and see trough their eyes and how music or any form of art or poem explains their deeds and motivates the ones after them. I like the vibe of it.

For example this is a march which is written in the honor of Hristo Botev, his unit and the ship Radetski. Hristo Botev manages to get ~200 rebels in exile abroad, they seize the ship Radetski and get to the Bulgarian coast with the intention to join the coming fight against the Ottomans. They are being promised 400 more rebels from villagers but when they got there only 1 joined them. After a couple of heavy fights in hard conditions and multiple casualties Hristo Botev is killed after a day of defence for strategic highs and peaks. How he died is being debated till today but the most wide spread version is that he got shot in the forehead by a Ottoman soldier inflitrated their camp at night when the rebels were resting.

I like to see such examples and I respect the determination these people got. I am born and raised in Bulgaria with mother Bulgarian Pomak (Muslim minority) and father Turk and I really feel more Turkish and close to the Turks but I don't deny also my Bulgarian heritage as well and like to see the picture from their eyes also. I am very open to such music or reading content about heroic figures of different nations and look at their deeds objectively out of existing concepts and prejudging that is being forced from everywhere. Of course nobody is perfect and such figures also have their bad deeds but I like to concentrate at the good example in them.
