This was my first idea when i got the brochure and posted somewhere in the forum, but then where the hell Siper is? DzKK been using Siper AD on the brochure for a decade almost.

If Sapan-2 is ER version of Sapan-1 then why do we need single packed Hisar-D and Siper-B1D in the list? It is all confusing at this point.

I can not put my logic at work here. It doesn't fit.
I've got one guess that I feel makes sense. That is a counterpart to CAMM-MR missile which is CAMM with an even larger rocket motor than ER and dual-packable into Mk41 VLS. Honestly, a mono-block in-betweener missile might come handy for frigates both here and in the world market.

I mean hell, ASELSAN should throw some hand into those names too.

Imo it goes like this

SAPAN-1: Quadpack HİSAR D
SAPAN-2: SAPAN 1 with larger rocket motor or even a booster, idk at this point
Hisar-D = Sapan = Siper...
What's wrong with these people ?

Here is my Sapan/Siper/Hisar take-on it is probably %100 wrong but anyway here i go.
Hisar-D= Navalized hisar single missile single cell( improvements for sea environment, seeker improvements for sea clutter etc)
Sapan 1= Quadpacked navalized Hisar (folding fins)
Siper Block 1D= Navalized Siper block 1(single missile single cell)
Sapan 2= Quadpacked navalized Siper block 1 with new quadpackable booster design

I don't recall DPO using "milli" with 127 mm ever before, despite MKE telling that they are enroute to develop it, DzKK might not be seeing a light at the end.
Honest question how smart is it even to invest money into a 127MM main gun project when at most we will most likely see it only used on 8 ships, maybe not even that many ships at the end of the day? Excluding a possible new class to slotted inbetween I-Class and TF-2000 but that is something we here talk about how realistic that is is another story.

76MM you can slap on almost anything from OPV to FAC to Destroyers to even LHD/AC (see italians) so that one makes taking into account the delays we have faced from the italians.

I am totally on this page, likely TN thinks the same. They have had a great and indispensable input for 76mm project and i don't think they would be willing to allocate additional resources for a 127mm project. We should improve 76mm as far as possible to the SR level and equip it with multi-purpose smart munitions. From there on we may work on 127mm smart munitions for 127mm to be supplied from foreign partners.

76mm could be even meaningful for the multi-purpose frigates. Twin 76mm configuration would provide a better protection and higher fire of rate and easier integration. 76mm goes one deck level depth, 127 occupies 3 deck levels.

Let's just focus on 40mm and 76mm and make these as compact and responsive as possible, equipped with variety of smart munitions, and with optional non-penetrating variants.

Looks to be Babcock’s AH140 with some changes, more specifically Indonesia’s Merah Putih. I thought they were going to go with Aselsan SMASH tho.
I believe it is poorly made stock Iver Huitfeldt CAD model, that one may freely or access by paying online. Should be less than 500$.

Because being a lame ass one gun provider sucks. It is MKE making it and they should realize all the capabilities they can put on a gun. I don't see a point why not when the cost of not having it when you need it is huge compared to the cost of making it when you need few of them. If there were a technical path where you could make something that performs better instead of this one it could take a back seat but otherwise you can be sorry for not having made it when the shit hits the fan.

Maybe even 3 76 mms like in Italian Horizon class.

76mm has air burst ammunition as well right? With only a ram equivalent in the front, multiple 76mm could be an extra boost to CIWS, and would be able to defend different sectors at once vs a single 127.

If there's a need for bigger than 76mm gun for naval purposes I'd skip past 127mm and figure out a way to use 155mm howitzers of the land forces in a naval context.

We can produce and sell a lot of 76mm guns for our use and for export purposes. How many 127mm guns do we need? Not many. Investing a lot of resources in a 127mm gun project seems like a waste.

There was once a discussion of extended range ESSM with the same engine as booster stage and if we pull this idea off it will have a good potential for the market since everyone is seeking capacity after the events in Red Sea. Even the much conservative Germans are down for a frigate (destroyer) with 64 VLS cells.

According to President Erdoğan Germans are blocking machinery (probably related to propulsion) for Turkish frigates, turbines for the Akkuyu nuclear plant, and the Eurofighter deal.

Germans are also slowing down the Reis class submarine project.

Would it be difficult to build or buy turbines for the nuclear power plant from other producers?

I figured that Turkey's Submarine and frigates would have problems with the Germans eventually.

Does anyone know if the MILDEN and STM 500 use German parts?

Is this the Reason why TCG Pirireis not entered in officially in Service ?
There are no embargoes but there are delaying tactics for example when the Turkish side asks for something to change a week becomes a month. There are many German subsystems and components and they are being heavily tested. German side is taking really easy when it comes to make necessary adjustment with the feedback obtained from those tests.
