It’s been a while, but I think I’ve read most WH40K books and quite a few warhammer Fantasy. I used to read a lot Forgotten Realms, but that’s years in the past now. I have to catch up, but would prefer to read them in right order to follow the evolvment of the realms.

Ring world sounds interesting, ‘I’ve probably read one of them at some point,…

I’m spending quite some time on Light novels and such, but they lack the finesse of proper novels :)

JRR are pretty much committed to memory. But I haven’t gotten a taste for Tom Clancy…

I used to read books before, specially in my school and college life when smartphone, computer wasn't that available, popular and advanced. Still try to read sometimes but it takes years now to finish one book. Now i mostly read Manga. Finished "The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho few days ago.

Most of the books i read were from my sisters book collections. Most of them are Bangladeshi, mostly written by two brothers, Humayun Ahmed and Muhammed Zafar Iqbal. Some detective novels by Rokib Hasan. Don't remember much about all books now but some of them i can remember:-
  • Best Story Collection by Tarasankar Bandyopadhyay.
  • Bishad Shindhu by Mir Mosarraf Hussain.
  • Gorvodharini by Somoresh Majumdar.
  • Parthib by Shirshendu Mukhopadhyay.
  • The Pearl by John Steinbeck.
  • The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty.
  • Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens.
  • Far from the Madding Crowd by Thomas Hardy.
  • Mother by Maxim Gorky.
  • The Godfather by Mario Puzo.
  • Da Vinci Code, Inferno by Dan Brown.
  • The Diary of Anne Frank
Read a Jules Verne's collection once. Only remember these names:-
  • Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Seas
  • Around the World in Eighty Days
  • Journey to the Center of the Earth
  • The Lighthouse at the End of the World (loved it)
Kept in the collection but i haven't read yet:-
  • Srikanta/Srikanto by Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay.
  • Deception Point, The Lost Symbol and Angels & Demons by Dan Brown.
  • To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee.
  • Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami.
  • The Bluest Eye by Toni Morrison.
I think i will start reading "The Bluest Eye" next. Also i am thinking about buying "Moby Dick" and "My Name Is Red".

@Isa Khan are you a LOTR fan?

Watched all the movies multiple times and few videos from "Nerd of the Rings" YT channel to clear/know few things. Want to read the books but don't know when i can manage.

Cant wait to see how new TV series turns out (it will be covering the 2nd age).

@xenon5434 @Sinan @Vag and I had some earlier convo about it.... this would be good thread to discuss more on it.

@Isa Khan are you a LOTR fan?

I'm going to ping @Saiyan0321 @Joe Shearer as well....for whenever they show up...
Right now, having subscribed to Netflix, with an Amazon Prime membership, and the unexpected delights squirreled away in YouTube, I am sated. There is a drastic overhaul due, in my viewing-normal life balance.

But thanks, it was one of my fixations, and if I watch, I am sure it will become one again!
