Apparently, there are problems, the solution of which does not depend on Türkiye. In my opinion, the biggest of them is the Russian-Ukrainian war. How will it end? What kind of Russia will emerge from this war? Türkiye clearly has no way to influence the outcome of this war.
But Turkey itself also has problems. The thing is that Türkiye should be a leader in the Turkic issue. After all, Türkiye is the largest country. We should all unite around Türkiye. Not a single Turkic country even claims to be a leader, accepting Türkiye's role as natural.
And how many problems does Türkiye itself have?! If I do not write about them here, it does not mean that I do not see them.
And it is not even about the economy. The thing is that there is no unity in your society. Turkish society is polarized again. I would say that it is dangerously polarized today.
Suddenly it turned out that the issue of power in Türkiye has not been resolved. And this is after the recent elections! I thought that after them Erdogan would have 5 years to deal with the affairs of the South Caucasus and Central Asia. Alas!
It will be difficult without resolving the issue of power.
Look how the main political parties want to lead the country in opposite directions! If others come to power and pull it towards Europe, how will we, the rest of the Turkic countries, be in such a situation?
At the same time, Türkiye's foreign policy has not 2 directions, but 3. Some prefer the West, others - the Arab-Muslim world, others - the Turkic world.
There must be continuity in foreign policy. Will there be continuity after Erdogan leaves? This is not obvious.
In addition, even the current government does not have a consistent policy towards the Turkic states. It is sometimes pulled into the jungles of Africa, sometimes into the sands of Arabia, sometimes into Europe, and it is not clear where.
Of course, I am glad that Assad's inhuman regime has been destroyed. In fact, everyone is happy about this, except Israel and Iran.
On the other hand, the same Syria will probably continue to draw Türkiye's attention and resources for a long time.
And Libya?! And Somalia, and other countries?! The Balkans...
Ankara simply does not have time to deal with the pan-Turk issue.
Obviously, this is not the most important task of its foreign policy today.
