All will be the same.look like GWS 26 type VLS from Britain, btw all of these Jinnah class would get the same exact armament or there is different of specs between ships?
These are PN MILGEM corvettes. The Jinnah-class will be a new class of frigates following the PN MILGEM corvettes.look like GWS 26 type VLS from Britain, btw all of these Jinnah class would get the same exact armament or there is different of specs between ships?
The canisters look like British single-tube launchers. I was really expecting to see a quad-packed or 32 single cell sea-ceptor.
12 missiles per ship, probably they had to go for some constraints on total budget ? @Waz .
Great opportunity for know-how and ToT, the engineers had chance twice to work together on a design.
Also the previous design with British SAM seemed to have more VLS tubes, the count then was reduced to 12.
I suspect the PN / MBDA Italy are working to get the SYLVER. It's not a sure bet, so they're expecting the GWS. But I'm optimistic that by the time they get to integrating the weapons, we'll see SYLVER.Yes it's a temporary solution and the QUAD pack configuration will be used as an upgrade for the ships. At the moment the key thing is to get the ships into service due the shortage of ships for the PN and the arrival of the Milgems will coincide with the potent Typ5A's.
The Navy can then begin work on the JInnah class which will be a heavy AAW ship modelled on the lines of the upcoming TF-2000.
On another note, I hope Pakistan's Milgem version is coming wit this;
They have got Albatros NG (CAMM-ER Based) similar to the ESSM,
They don't need Chinese subsystems for HHQ-16 anymore.
Both Turkish and Western companies didn't agree to integrate electronics entirely with Chinese systems and it was causing a burden and overload of redundant sensors.
This is a very important point that the brother has made.
It's clear now that the Pakistani navy is pursuing two different paths in building it's navy.
One is Chinese with ships, sensors, weapons etc all the same.
The other however is Turkish, with Western, in particular NATO nations offering weapons and systems which are compatible with Turkish ships, where as Chinese ships are not. Nor would western states offer such services.
The Jinnah class will be the next in line of these Turkish/Pakistani projects which will be complimented by western systems or be completely Turkish.
If you look at the PAF you see the same thing i.e. F-16's/Erieye and JF-17's/ZDK-03.
Bro, If Jinnah is Pakistani/Turkish next joint heavier ship project, She will house many Turkish and Pakistani subsystems. Turkey is developing almost everything about Navy ships from top to down because of the Western embargo. In fact, the embargo has accelerated our ongoing projects and This joint Jinnah class frigate program will benefit from these developments.
SeaRAM missile, MIDLAS-EDAS VLS, Hisar-Rf quad missiles, Hisar-U and Siper long range surface to air missiles, Cenk-S and AKR radars, CAFRAD radars, 76mm and 127mm main guns, Helicopter landing assist system, torpedo tubes, more advanced electronic attack and support systems and ship propulsion technologies.

A rather clean render of PN Milgem, by ASFAT twitter account.
The mast is really interesting @Waz, a few more differences to be figured out.
