Why do you think Pakistan removed the Chinese systems?
They have got Albatros NG (CAMM-ER Based) similar to the ESSM,
They don't need Chinese subsystems for HHQ-16 anymore.
Both Turkish and Western companies didn't agree to integrate electronics entirely with Chinese systems and it was causing a burden and overload of redundant sensors.

The Steel Cutting of 4th PN MILGEM Class Corvette Held at Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works on today. A pair of six-cell (2×3) modules of the ALBATROS NG Maritime Launching System (MLS) is depicted for the first time first time on the CGI of the Pakistan MILGEM Corvette. Replacing the previously planned 16-cell VLS Vertical Launching System (VLS) for the HHQ-16 Medium-Range Air Defense Missile System the ALBATROS NG MLS is based on the compact design developed by MBDA UK for the Royal Navy’s Type 26 and Type 31 frigates.

@Waz @Saiyan0321 @Kaptaan
The canisters look like British single-tube launchers. I was really expecting to see a quad-packed or 32 single cell sea-ceptor.

12 missiles per ship, probably they had to go for some constraints on total budget ? @Waz .
Great opportunity for know-how and ToT, the engineers had chance twice to work together on a design.
Also the previous design with British SAM seemed to have more VLS tubes, the count then was reduced to 12.

Yes less VLS but these ones are Quad pack'able: 48 missiles

It is not Slyver A43 or Mk41, those canisters are identical to sea-ceptor launchers with 1 missile per canister:

Single launcher. Does it mean the second missile needs to be loaded before firing ?

Or the UK system.
They have chosen british 6 cell solution yet still the space allocated for long VLS remains untouched and unoccupied.

So probably this is a temporary measure until either Italy or UK can secure Slyver A43/ExLS and quadpack Albatros NG. If this was the final decision then we would have seen they are filling up the previous VLS space with 2x6 on each side, Albatros NG launchers.

With Slyver A43 or ExLS the VLS cells fit nicely, and does not an absurdly elavate platform like HHQ-16 did. It is the design which was handed over as a gift between Hulusi Akar and Pakistani Navy Chief (i guess).

PN can always add more cells/missiles in the future. There is more than enough space left for that.

Yep. They've been changing the renderings with each ceremony, so maybe by the next steel-cutting or keel ceremony, we'll see SYLVER?

It was the 4th ship and program is completed so far. (Pakistan might order more from KSEW). 2 major design reviews is more than enough for such a program.

What i mean, whatever see from this point on will be seen on the actual ship.

We could modernize our own milgems in similar way.

G40 will be quad pack, there should be some place to install 2x 4cell vls on the milgem giving her 32 missiles or 16 G40 + 4 Hisar-O

I am envious that PN has missiles on their Ada class Milgem. Especially if they're going to be the "slim" looking Albatros NG type.

if G40 have same parameters, size etc. would it be possible to use the VLS even the UK variant for ours missiles ?

I thought that too. They may be waiting for the development of domestic missiles for such modernization..

There are no plans for Milgems to get VLS in the short to mid-term. I think an 8 cell VLS will be added in mid-life modernization(~20 years is the time for mid-life modernization for Navy vessels) and this won't be before 2030.

Why add VLS like system later on instead of at the start ?

Before and after PN milgem.

Thank you @Defenceturkey
The radome was not SATCOM but a 3D search radar, that is why it was gone after switching to the Albatros NG from HHQ 16 @Defence Turkey

Why add VLS like system later on instead of at the start ?
They have studied it and later dropped the idea since it required hull to be elongated slightly more for a few reasons, to be honest some people were frustrated as ship has started from below 2000 tonnes as corvette and ended above 2000 and nearing 2500, someone has said "enough" and next step has been I-Class fulfilling desire of the people which has required many from Ada-Class.

Now we have a domestic VLS solution that we can deploy in any cell configuration (height + stacking) , so for Milgem instead of 1x8, we will either see 2x4 like @Nutuk has told, or 2x6 if they can squeeze it out without modifying hull that much.
Or they can decide to use some other spot and add 2x8 short-VLS like A43 or Mk41 Self defense length, all depends on the situation when an upgrade is taking place.

Before VLS, Ada-Class is going to get USV, towed array sonar and probably an UAV (common expectation).
