Iraq does not border Israel yet it send lots of its forces in 1948, 1967 and 1973 wars. Algeria has not.
Sharon was defeated by the Algerian army in the October 6, 1973 war
Israel lost 900 soldiers and 172 tanks in an ambush by the Algerian army
The Chief of Staff of the Zionist entity, David Elazar, spoke in the Arab-Israeli war that their invading forces lost their war in 1973, as a result of the disdain and disillusionment of Major General Ariel Sharon, whom he described as arrogant, at that time about the Algerian army forces. Algerian soldiers fled just to see his tanks, but the battle ended with the loss of 900 Israeli soldiers and 172 tanks. In his memoirs, David Elazar, the Zionist chief of staff, recounted details of the loss of the army of the Zionist occupier in the Arab-Israeli war. He absolved himself of a defeat made by stupid Israeli leaders, who said that they underestimated Arab forces on the northern and southern fronts, Literature was the result of disdain and disregard for the number and equipment of Algerian combat units. The owner of the book, Sharon, who described him as arrogant, blamed the defeat because he expected that the Algerians with their primitive weapons would pass by once they saw their tanks. But they set the trap for him. On one day, the Zionists lost 900 of their best men and lost 172 tanks. Broke the military order, and rushed towards the Algerian forces, which gave him a lesson in fighting and hunting. For his part, Moshe Dayan spoke about his decision and the attack plan on literature and al-Zaytiyah and said that the Egyptians made them believe that the port of Adabiya was not fortified. However, the Algerian forces were assigned the task of protecting it. They built their plans on the basis of information confirming that that strategic point was within their grasp, They were surprised that they had destroyed the heavy reaction weapons of the Algerian forces, which they assumed had been withdrawn by the Egyptians for use in the attack. According to the former Israeli defense minister, all the data and analysis indicate that the Algerians do not have weapons capable of obstructing the operation. They also received other information indicating that there was a state of discontent and dissension within these forces because the Egyptians did not allow them to participate in the attack on Sinai. A US C-5 Galaxy with a rocket launched from the positions of the Algerian forces. He spoke about the terrible defeats that the army faced by advanced Algerian anti-aircraft guns and its bombardment with dozens of rockets. One fell and two others were injured, and later succeeded in landing at one of the Negev airports. For his part, a member of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff during the October war, he said in his memoirs that the injury of the "C 5 Galaxy" hit the US military staff with dismay, it was the first time that the US Air Force lost one of its six giant aircraft, Nixon's emergency within the headquarters of the body, asking to provide an appropriate explanation for that fatal loss.
From that time on, Israel is planning to weaken the growing power of Algeria and weaken its role with the Arab Islamic world

Unfortunately Sharon did not read ur post. So he was unaware he was defeated by Algerians. So he successfully secured the bridgehead, crossed the canal and enrcircled 3rd Egyptian army.
