Capitalism is in Islam.

Dont listen to anti capitalist Muslims. Because this term is an oxymoron when the Prophet Muhammed himself was a merchant and made his money.

I prefer capitalism over communism anyday. At least I wont starve to death in some bullshit utopia.
No, bro i am not against capitalism per se, it is the best way of managing economy affairs, i emphasizes it because i wanted to show how that part of democracy is big issue and problematic were people vote not by carefully considered mind processes but mostly with corporation sublimed messages and agendas and then it widens in legistlations, laws, daily life, it becomes uncontrolable and messy.

More truckloads of Afghan men on the way... https://www.reddit.com/r/Turkey/comments/owb81m
Even the most refugee-supporting leftists and fundamentalists have to be wondering where the hell all the children, women and elderly people are.

I repeat - if you are a young man fleeing a bad country, your first responsibility is to make sure the young ones, the infirm and old and the women get out as well. If you don't and judging by that Afghan dude's smug face I guarantee it, then you are likely some form of economic migrant or worse - a sex tourist/potential rapist.

Keep a close eye on them. If they do something stupid, report them. In extreme cases, I'd recommend actions that will get me banned from here so I'll just mention that the eyes, chin and temple are a weak-point in any human being.

Most likely left their own families behind.

UNDP seems hellbent on providing jobs for Syrians in Turkey, I assume the world is interested in keeping Syrians in Turkey escalating what real Turks warns about, growing seperatism in the future.

Time for some Turkification

We can easily assmilate the Syrians by starting from there children.

Children in the future will grow up to be Turkish since none of them owe anything to Syria.

Modern day problems require looking back at the past.

A question for everybody why is the Patriarch of Constantinople still in Istanbul.

Turkey is a secular country we still have this Roman/Byzantine relic in the country.

Controlled burning isn't really an option in densely-forested, mountainous areas, especially in extreme heat where any small fires can quickly spin out of control. In addition to usually being done in winter or autumn during colder weather, it also depends on the type of flora growing in the area that you are planning to set aflame. Some trees can burn really, really well and before you know it, half the forest is on fire.

The perfect economic system is a balance of capitalist and socialist policies. Here in America, for example, so many right-wing people are allergic to "dang, dirty communist infiltration" that they even argue against perfectly sane policies like socialized healthcare because Soviet Union.

It's not like unrestrained capitalism is a good idea either, just look at nutjobs like Ayn Rand. Do you want people like her running the country? Didn't think so.

I know im not a full supporter of hardcore capitalism.

But I would take capitalism over communism everyday.

In a communist country they snitched on people just for getting sunnet.

It has been historically there, there's nothing wrong with them being there? Secularism includes all religions, unlike our government's understanding, which is: there's only Sunni Islam and nothing else.

Ignoring the fact that there are 15-20 Million Alevis, and 2-3 million Christians (whether they are Greece-Orthodox, Armenian Orthodox and so many more). Who dont get any support.

Its a byzantine relic the patriarch answers to an Emperor not to a President.

You think Spain would be fine in keeping a "Caliph"?

Secularism does not allow an institituion that believes the emperor was ordained by God from the patriarch.

Ideally that and any other religious organization would be under government control and teach a government approved curriculum, like Diyanet for Sunnis. Thats also the reason why the patriach is slowly dying, because the school in Halkali where the next generation is usually educated cannot be open because they don't obey Turkish law.

But having it in Turkey is an advantage because you can have influence on it, letting it die will give away the last bit of influence. So I'd rather keep it alive and have some Turkish influence over it.

Also unlike you I am a big fan of having Greeks, Armenians and all sorts of citizens in the country. Istanbul and the Agean was richer in culture in the past. Now we have formerly prestigious and nice parts of Istanbul fall apart because they are full of - to put it mildly - less cultivated people.

I don't even get the logic of it this time because Turkey has already accepted Greece's help in the past with natural catastrophes and vice versa. What's the issue with doing it this time, it's not like people are gonna point and laugh "ha, ha, big Turkey needs little Greece's help" or some juvenile stuff like that.

The point is that a country 1/6 the size of Turkey and with less population of Istanbul has almost 40 firefighting planes meanwhile Turkey has 3 that are loaned from Russia and being payed absurd amounts for daily. So if the government asks Greece for help or accept their help Greece will send a dozen of planes over and people will start questioning how a smaller country has so many planes but we don’t.

That is the only reason.

Patriarch barely brings any soft power.

I can say the Patriarch of moscow is even stronger than them.

How many orthodox christians even look up to the Patriarch when most look at their own ones or the Russian one.

Russia already proclaimed itself as the successor to the byzantines. There is a reason why they call themselves the Third Rome.

That's just what Russia wants you to think, as a matter of fact the Ukrainian church has separated from the Russian, and I'm pretty sure that our Greek users disagree with you and Russia too.

In this kind of situations you have to put logic over pride, for the common good.

Erdogan has purged everyone, even in his party and close circle, that had any decency. He's out of touch like most dictators are and is surrounded by yes-sayers. There's no common good left in the government.
