AKP voters wont vote for CHP because the CHP simply doesnt manage to attract said voter base. So what does the CHP do? Support the enemies of the state and nominate someone like KK to challenge Erdogan. They managed to loose the election in a situation where: The economy has been run to the ground, wealth-inequality is at an all time high, in which the country has just suffered from an catastrophic earthquake laying bare how the corruption under the AKP government lead to the death of thousands of people, a terrorist-statelet still exists to our southern border, the country is filled with millions of refugees, the youth is being stripped of a prosperous childhood and future, etc.
Despite all of the above mentioned circumstances they managed to loose even with the support of dem/hdp, so whats the excuse for continuing to work with them? Because its the "best shot at taking Erdogan down"? If we follow the logic of "Well the AKP (which literally started the whole mess in the first place) did it, so its fine if we do it. After all AKP voters wont vote for us anyway", where does one end up? What will be the situation if the CHP finally manages to beat the AKP? Another "solution process", to reward dem for their "loyalty"? If you go an ask them what they think of the CHP, no one will tell you that they even actually like the CHP or support its policies. They only want Erdogan gone, since he is the one currently ordering MAM-Ls to be dropped onto their beloved pkk idols. If the CHP wont give in to their demands they will simply switch from screaming "terrorist Erdogan" to "terrorist CHP". So what is the CHPs exact plan here? Erdogan once fed the very same enemies of the state, purely to exploit it for his own personal benefit. Meanwhile the CHP does so out of desperation to beat Erdogan at all costs. The overarching effect remains the same. Trying to beat "evil with evil" doesnt work if there is no foresight on how to handle the inevitable outfall.
