I see people who believe that the Azerbaijani media is independent, impartial, and capable of producing its own analysis. Dear friends, when it comes to both domestic and international affairs, no news can be published in the Azerbaijani media without government approval. In other words, all these media outlets are under the control of the Aliyev regime.

If there is an attack against the Turkish government, going as far as targeting Atatürk himself, it is simply impossible for such an attack to take place without Aliyev's knowledge and approval.

Anyone who has been to Azerbaijan, done business there, or worked there knows that Azerbaijan is a genuine dictatorship. The Azerbaijani people are, of course, our brothers and sisters, but the Aliyev regime has effectively seized control of the country's entire wealth and resources, with the media being one of its most important instruments of control.

If Turkey is being attacked in this manner, it means that the Aliyev regime is deliberately undermining its relations with Turkey and has effectively fallen under Israel's influence.

While I respect analyses made in good faith, I disagree with many of them.

For Azerbaijan to disregard all the support Turkey provided in the liberation of Karabakh, claiming that weapons were merely purchased with money and that everything else was accomplished entirely by Azerbaijan itself, is nothing short of blatant ingratitude.

First of all Azerbaijan has multiple times thanked Turkey for its support in the war, and Turkish soldiers marched along ours during victory parades for a reason.
However, some of Turkish politicians want to paint a picture that without Turkey, Azerbaijan would of never won the war and Turkish support was the deciding factor, Azerbaijan lost nearly 3000 soldiers, and Turkish politicians putting Azerbaijan as some sort of proxy militia equal to Libya or Syria is an insult to those that have sacrificed their lives. The major point of Azerbaijan is that this support, such as weapon deliveries, were not some sort of gift, Azerbaijan paid regular market prices for these weapons.

next point is that Turkish media and bots on twitter have been slandering Azerbaijan due to relations with Israel for years, but because Azerbaijani media is answering back now its bad?

Kazakhstan exports more oil to Israel than Azerbaijan, and imposed hijab ban in schools before Azerbaijan, yet nothing was mentioned about it in Turkish media.
Turkey should not be meddling in such internal decisions in Azerbaijan, specially when the decisions are being made to counter attempts of religious influence of Iran. Turkish bots and media were literally working overtime to the benefit of Iran.

and does this look like country that does not appreciate Turkey's help? its the higher ups in Turkey that want to make the strategic relations seem one sided, despite Azerbaijan supporting Turkey, Azerbaijan provided cash infusion during currency crisis, Azerbaijan has been one of biggest investors into Turkish economy, Azerbaijan has been one of the largest markets for Turkish defense exports, and Azerbaijan has been providing Turkey with below market energy prices.

Until just a few years ago, Aliyev was thanking Türkiye for what it had done to help Azerbaijan reclaim Karabakh. So why has he suddenly started saying that nobody helped them, and that they purchased weapons only with their own money?

Even Azerbaijan’s Chief of the General Staff turned out to be a traitor, while the Turkish military was directing the war effort. Yet today, Aliyev is denying all these realities. TB2 drones took part in victory parades and celebrations in the streets of Baku, but now he claims that they were simply purchased with money. This is ingratitude, and I refuse to accept it.

I am not talking about the headscarf ban. The Republic of Türkiye did not officially express any objection to Azerbaijan on this matter. Neither the President nor the Foreign Minister made any official statement about it. If criticism of this ban by ordinary people on social media can damage bilateral relations, then perhaps Turkish-Azerbaijani relations were never built on a truly solid foundation in the first place.

Why do you fail to mention the smear campaign against Türkiye that has been unfolding in the Azerbaijani media over the past week, before criticizing social media users in Türkiye? While there has been no comparable attack on Azerbaijan in the Turkish media, Azerbaijani media outlets have been publishing analyses and broadcasting programs targeting Türkiye almost every other day, with some crossing the line into outright insults. Why do you never mention this? Azerbaijani media have even accused Atatürk of encouraging the Soviets to invade Azerbaijan. You never bring any of this up.

Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan do not hold the same level of importance for Türkiye. Türkiye and Azerbaijan are genuinely brotherly nations. Kazakhstan's language, culture, and traditions are nowhere near as closely aligned with those of Türkiye as Azerbaijan's are. Some people in Türkiye may not even be aware that a ban exists in Kazakhstan.

The headscarf issue is merely a pretext for the deterioration of these relations. Aliyev has chosen Israel's side and is using the headscarf issue as nothing more than an excuse. Even allowing the Israeli president to travel to Azerbaijan through Turkish airspace, without informing Türkiye, despite Türkiye's ban, is an act of betrayal.

Despite everything Türkiye has done for Azerbaijan out of brotherhood, what we have been seeing from Aliyev lately is ingratitude and hostility. Aliyev needs to understand that he must not lose Türkiye's friendship. He is making the wrong choices. Türkiye is not a country to be betrayed for the sake of Israel. When the geopolitical circumstances change and Aliyev finds himself in trouble, it will be Türkiye that comes to his aid, not Israel. He must act with this reality in mind. Otherwise, Aliyev may be forced to pay a heavy price for his decisions.

I already explained it, because Turkey is putting Azerbaijan in same bracket as Libya and Syria, as if those weapons were gifted for free

How is it ingratitude ? Azerbaijan purchased all those Turkish weapons at market prices, you make it seem like all those weapons were gifted for free, you understand Turkey makes money from selling weapons right? Should Israel come out and say Azerbaijan only won cuz of Israel?

Azerbaijan has not chosen a side, Azerbaijan wants to maintain strategic relations with both Israel and Turkey, thats why Azerbaijan continues to open Turkish defense facilities such as Roketsan, Aselsan and Baykar, if Azerbaijan chose a side, it would not be further procuring Turkish weapons.

Your value has always been very high, but you’ve already shown that you’re on their level. Maybe in a few months, you’ll fall below them as well

well then don't act all surprised when Azerbaijan gets upset when you label them on level of Libya or Syria

How can Azerbaijan be one nation two states with Turkiye, and not have a side (or prioritization) between Turkiye and Israel.

Turkiye should always take precedent over israel, given a conflict or escalation between the two. Right now it is Israel taking the initiative to move towards conflict between the two countries.

The hijab ban and other "culture wars" talking points, the magnitude of the role of Turkiye in re-taking Karabakh, etc etc. these are all deliberately divisive talking points and not worth the time of day. Someone taking out the time of day to lift a finger and bring them up, ought to consider who's agenda they are fulfilling by doing so, if they are not deliberately agents of division themselves.

Ultimately the only thing that matters, once you filter out the noise, is whether or not there is mutual loyalty, especially as regional tensions rise. If Azerbaijan enters a state of conflict with Iran or Russia, will Turkiye support it? If Turkiye enters a state of conflict with Israel, will Azerbaijan support it?

Before such a definitive state of conflict comes into being, there will be preceding pressures such as requests for intelligence sharing, or infrastructural integrations as part of security cooperation. Will these be managed in a manner that is is protective of one anothers interests?

1- Nobody does put Azerbaijan in the same bracket as Lucia or Syria. This is totally bulshit.
2- Turkiye provided those weapons to Azerbaijan with very lower than the market place which Selcuk bey already stated it in the past. Do you think that Turkish Army gets those weapon freely?? Türkiye gave those weapons although it was threatened by sanctions which some of them were applied by Canada. Türkiye stood by Azerbaijan at no matter what could happen.
although everything, Turkiye would want Azerbaijan to stand with Turkiye while it’s been threatened by Israel several times clearly. But Azerbaijan never did that. Sorry brother, this is the fact.

Abdullah İmamoğlu (Zəkəriyə Can – Ed.) read out a statement on October 13 in Ankara, during a rally organized by "Hizb ut-Tahrir" in front of the Azerbaijani Embassy. One of the slogans voiced during this rally stands out in particular: "One state, one Ummah, one solution: the Caliphate."

Who isn’t familiar with characters like "Jet Fadıl"? Do you know how this con artist rose to fame, and what kind of "attire" he eventually ended up wearing? And what about "Cübbeli Ahmet"?!
Another figure in this infamous gallery of swindlers and charlatans is Fethullah Gülen...
Just ten years ago, the whole world saw what they were truly striving for—power! Just imagine: Fadıl, Cübbeli Ahmet, or Fethullah Gülen—sitting in the Turkish presidential chair! Can you picture it? We would have ended up with a bona fide Turkish Ayatollah!
Why do these scoundrels hide behind religion? Because it makes it so much easier to deceive the faithful. That is precisely why they don medieval-style rags. Some in their inner circle might still wear Western-style suits—like the man in this photo—but that is only for the time being.
It is not Turkish influence that concerns us, but Iranian influence! It is truly lamentable to see people in Turkey who admire the Iranian system, view it as a gold standard, and "sing in unison" with it. There are millions of such people in Turkey—they haven’t gone anywhere. These are the very same individuals who accuse Azerbaijan of every conceivable sin. They are the ones who want to transform both Turkey and Azerbaijan into something resembling Iran. For us, this is unacceptable.
Just look at Iran! They have held onto power for half a century. We can see what they have turned their country into. Without a moment’s hesitation, they are prepared to hang thousands of young Iranians—including our own brethren—from construction cranes. They would rather turn all of Iran into a sea of blood than voluntarily relinquish power! And anyone who dares to expose them will be branded an infidel—and hanged from that very same construction crane!
Azerbaijan is not against the hijab—we are against religious charlatans who hide behind the hijabs of schoolgirls!

After the political crisis between two allies, I would suggest:" donating s400 to Azerbaijan" , if I were asked. One billion USD nothing for our strategic partnership.

This is/was a crisis?

TR and AZ are close brothers. The broader people will see things through.

AZ likely would not want to handle the heavy hot potato that are these S-400 systems too. Too small a country and with lot to juggle already like has been explained.

I feel in the end the US itself will take charge of the S-400 somehow if an agreement is indeed reached. Mothball them or aggressor train with them etc. Either that or a gulfie country maybe.
