It seems TEI/TrMotor is charged to develop 35000lb turbofan engine. From these statements, we can read that TEI/Trmotor group is selected in the background by state. If we want to challenge the world's giants technologically, we need to develop this technology ourselves and I have full confidence that we will succeed.

It seems around 1 year after tf-6000 first ignition , we will see tf10000 in the bench. They will be waiting for first test results of tf-6000 , then they may be update tf-10000 and produce accordingly. This is to decrease costs of first tf10000 engine .
But I think , we also should start producing tf-10000 , so we can get experience of producing converging-diverging nozzle section and it's operation. If we need to update, we can still produce new updated one and it's production will be fast with past experience.
But it seems tei do not want to spend extra USDs.

Even if the tender is awarded to the RR/Kale duo, the TEİ/TRMotor duo must start their work as if they had won the tender themselves. How do you know that RR, who won the tender, won't cause any problems?

It seems that IP rights will be owned by TRMotor. TEI will produce majority. I expect that Kale will be involved to produce some parts. So everyone will be happy.

In the worst case scenario TEI makes the TFX engine a few years later than planned in which case we may have to fly some of our planes with underpowered engines. What I am saying is before we can pull off 35k lbf we can probably fly 30k. I think the more likely scenario is TEI efforts will be spot on the first time.

What drew my attention was Mr. Akşit answer to the KE question... To me, it seemed he almost didn't want to talk about KE and TEI6000 in the same sentence.

TF6000 is a little oversize for KE I guess. Baykar's plan A is likely to be sticking to initial engine plans with Ukraine and TF6000 can be plan B.

Yes and I think the only logical conclusion after this is that TF6000 was developed specifically for that mysterious unmanned bomber which TAI apparently has already built, which makes that project even more mysterious. I wonder how many engines will that thing have, I think it might have four or maybe six.

One or two engines most likely but I would say ideally two engines. Safer against malfunction, carries more load and leaves the planes belly empty for large pieces of payload.

No one will give you IP rights of a 5th generation turbofan engine. Let us be realistic. You can’t really expect RR to relinquish a technology that took them decades to perfect, even if we are paying mega bucks for it.

According to the latest statements released by Kale, the best offer will be along the lines of ; the IP rights of the MMU engine will be owned by RR/Kale partnership company TAEC, and it will stay in Turkey. Third party sales of the engine will not be affected. And if the engine needs to be further developed, it will be done by TAEC. In all cases RR will benefit from sales of these engines and it’s derivatives.

As a stop gap engine option and as plan B for the MMU engine supply, we must have an alternative choice of engine manufacturing route in addition to the work being carried out by TEI. At the moment that appears to be TAEC of RR/Kale. This partnership should logically create a second TEI in time for Turkish aerospace industry.

Going through this route will broaden our horizons on the manufacturing techniques of a 5th generation turbofan engine. There will be a lot of cross pollination of technical know how between our two engine manufacturers, as well as the productive adversary occurring between TAEC and TEI.

I hope the RR/Kale option is put on the table soon and finalised. We shouldn’t put all our eggs in TEI’s basket!

Do we have the funds for two baskets?
It is not up to us to fund the development of the RR engine. TAEC will fund it and make the engine and TAI will buy it. They will make their money by selling it to TAI.
In the meantime TEI will make the indigenous engine. It will be the engine for newer blocks of MMU.
So only TEI engine will be funded by the state. (Most likely partially at that too - remember TEI is also a company that has funds of it’s own)
