Qatar, Libya sign pact on military training

The meeting saw the signing of a co-operation agreement in training and building military capabilities.

HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs Dr Khalid bin Mohammed al-Attiyah yesterday met with the Defence Minister of the Government of National Accord in Libya, Dr Salah Eddine al-Namrush, who is visiting Qatar. The meeting dealt with bilateral relations in the military field and the means to enhance them. The meeting also saw the signing of a co-operation agreement in training and building military capabilities. The agreement was signed between the Qatari Ministry of Defence and Government of National Accord's Ministry of Defence. The meeting was attended by ambassador Sheikh Mohamed bin Nasser al-Thani, several officers of the armed forces, and members of the Libyan delegation.
